2014 NBA Draft Scouting Report: Jordan Adams
Position: Shooting Guard
Size: 6-5, 210
School: UCLA, Sophomore
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Summary: After originally announcing he would return to UCLA for his sophomore season, Adams changed his mind and ended up declaring for the 2014 NBA Draft. He is a pure scorer who can put the ball in the basket from most areas on the floor, but he lacks the ideal athleticism of most NBA shooting guards. As a result, Adams is a borderline first-round pick who probably ends up slipping into the second round.
Player Comparison: Jodie Meeks. Meeks is a bit of an undersized NBA shooting guard who is a solid, but not great, athlete like Adams. What both guys can do is score the basketball in a variety of ways. That is how Meeks has been effective in the league and what Adams needs to hang his hat on as well.
