2013 NBA Draft Scouting Report: Dennis Schroder
Position: Point Guard
Size: 6-2, 165
School: Germany, 1993
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Summary: Thanks to a terrific showing at the Nike Hoops Summit, Dennis Schroder went from a likely second-round pick to shooting up draft charts and is now a late-lottery/mid-first-round prospect. He has the potential to be a lead guard in the NBA in a couple of years.
Player Comparison: Ramon Sessions. Because of his quickness, Schroder has drawn comparisons to Rajon Rondo, but that’s a little unfair. Ramon Sessions is a more realistic expectation. Both guys are creators who rely on their ability off the bounce to score or create for teammates. Sessions is a borderline NBA starter as Schroder will be the same until he improves his outside shooting.
