2011 NBA Draft Scouting Report: Alec Burks
Position: Shooting Guard
Size: 6-6, 185
School: Colorado, Sophomore
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Summary: The 2011 NBA Draft has a fair amount of combo guards who are first-round prospects, but Alec Burks is the best pure shooting guard in of this class. That obviously makes him a hot commodity and should have him in lottery discussions.
Player Comparison: Evan Turner. Obviously Burks was not as dominant at the college level as Turner, but they are both players who are more effective when the ball is in their hands when they are trying to create, whether it is for themselves or for teammates. Neither player shoots the ball all that well from three, but both guys are good rebounders due to their height and athleticism.
