2024 NBA Mock Draft: Round One – Picks 16-30

2024 NBA Mock Draft: Round 1, Picks 1-15 (Walt’s)
This 2024 NBA Mock Draft is updated Wednesday, May 15, 2024. Follow me @walterfootball for updates.

16. Philadelphia 76ers: Isaiah Collier, PG, USC USC
It’s a little embarrassing that the 76ers were using Kyle Lowry in the starting lineup. An upgrade must be found at one of the guard spots.

17. New Orleans Pelicans: Devin Carter, G, Providence Providence
The Pelicans have an excellent backcourt, but they could stand to add some better depth in this area.

18. Orlando Magic: Jaylon Tyson, SF, California
The Magic could stand to add a depth wing who can bring a scoring punch off the bench.

19. Toronto Raptors: Tyler Smith, PF/C, USA USA
The Raptors could stand to add a big man to play behind Jakob Poeltl for the time being.

20. Cleveland Cavaliers: Zach Edey, C, Purdue Purdue
Jarrett Allen gets hurt often, so the Cavaliers could stand to obtain a better backup.

21. New Orleans Pelicans: Yves Missi, C, Baylor Baylor
The Pelicans can develop Yves Missi, who is raw. They’ll need an eventual replacement for Jonas Valanciunas.

22. Phoenix Suns: Kel’el Ware, C, Indiana
The Suns are another team that could use an upgrade in the interior, as Jusuf Nurkic isn’t quite good enough.

23. Milwaukee Bucks: Johnny Furphy, SG, Kansas
The Bucks need some youth in the backcourt, as Damian Lillard and Patrick Beverley aren’t going to be around forever.

24. New York Knicks: Kyshawn George, SG, Miami
The Knicks could stand to add another shooter to improve their offensive production.

25. New York Knicks: DaRon Holmes, PF, Dayton
New York could use its second pick to bolster the talent in the front court, which has some depth issues.

26. Washington Bullets: Ryan Dunn, SF, Virginia
The Bullets are notorious for their horrible defense. They could stand to add a defensive specialist with this pick.

27. Minnesota Timberwolves: Tidjane Salaun, SF, France France
The Timberwolves have been quite the surprise team this year, but they could stand to upgrade their wing play beyond just Anthony Edwards.

28. Denver Nuggets: Carlton Carrington, G, Pittsburgh Pittsburgh
The Nuggets were struggling in the playoffs when Jamal Murray wasn’t 100 percent. Adding more talent in the backcourt could prevent that from happening again.

29. Utah Jazz: Jared McCain, G, Duke
The Jazz found a wing earlier. They can pursue a guard with this pick to bolster the depth in that area.

30. Boston Celtics: Tyler Kolek, PG, Marquette
The Celtics are a team without any needs, so they can afford to draft the best player available.
