Bobby Wagner, LB, Seahawks. Age: 32.
Signed with Rams (5 years, $50 million)

Bobby Wagner may have lost a step at the age of 32 (as of June), but he’s still one of the better linebackers in the NFL. He was released because he counted nearly $17 million against the cap for 2022.
Josey Jewell, LB, Broncos. Age: 27.
Re-signed with Broncos (2 years, $11 million)

Josey Jewell was making huge strides every season, so it was a shame to see him get knocked out for the season with a torn pectoral in Week 2. He should be 100 percent for 2022.
Alexander Johnson, LB, Broncos. Age: 30.
Denver’s defense sorely missed Alexander Johnson last year when he went down in Week 6 with a torn pectoral. He’s an excellent linebacker, though he could lose a step soon now that he’s in his 30s.
De’Vondre Campbell, LB, Packers. Age: 29.
Re-signed with Packers (5 years, $50 million)

The Falcons and Cardinals had to be shocked by what De’Vondre Campbell did in 2021. Campbell had been mediocre at best for them, yet he emerged as one of the better linebackers in the NFL for Green Bay. It’s unclear if this was a fluke, so we’ll have to see if Campbell can replicate his great play in 2022.
Kyzir White, LB, Chargers. Age: 26.
Re-signed with Eagles (1 year, $5 million)

Kyzir White isn’t a great player by any means, but he’s a young, well-rounded, three-down linebacker. He can also play some safety.
Leighton Vander Esch, LB, Cowboys. Age: 25.
Re-signed with Cowboys (1 year)

It appears as though the one team that removed Leighton Vander Esch off their draft board was correct in doing so. Vander Esch has struggled through injuries thus far in his career.
Jayon Brown, LB, Titans. Age: 27.
Signed with Raiders

The normally solid Jayon Brown struggled in 2021, likely because of a lingering injury. He should be able to bounce back in 2022.
Anthony Walker, LB, Browns. Age: 27.
Anthony Walker can do a better job of tackling, but he is pretty solid in coverage.
Myles Jack, LB, Jaguars. Age: 26.
Signed with Steelers (2 years, $16 million)

Myles Jack had a great start to his career, but he has progressively gotten worse over the years. He’s still only 26, so he could rebound.
Dont’a Hightower, LB, Patriots. Age: 32.
Dont’a Hightower was an excellent linebacker over the years, but struggled in 2021. Perhaps age was a factor, but Hightower was banged up as well.
Kwon Alexander, LB, Saints. Age: 28.
Signed with Jets

Kwon Alexander is sound in coverage, but he misses way too many tackles and is weak in run support.
Joe Schobert, LB, Steelers. Age: 28.
Signed with Broncos

Joe Schobert was a quality linebacker for the Browns, but has struggled ever since joining the Steelers.
Alex Singleton, LB, Eagles. Age: 28.
Signed with Broncos

Alex Singleton is a sound tackler who thrives in run support, but he tends to get abused in coverage.
Josh Bynes, LB, Ravens. Age: 32.
Re-signed with Ravens

Josh Bynes is a solid, two-down linebacker who specializes in run support. Age is becoming an issue, however.

Jamie Collins, LB, Patriots. Age: 32.
