Trevor Lawrence regressed each year under Doug Pederson. He’ll have better coaching to support him moving forward. He’ll also get a boost from Travis Hunter playing across from Brian Thomas Jr.

There’s no reason to think that J.J. McCarthy couldn’t pick up where Sam Darnold left off, especially given the improvements on the offensive line.

Jared Goff is coming off an MVP-caliber campaign, but we’ll have to see how he fares without Ben Johnson.

Jordan Love, QB, Packers. Bye: .

No Cookie Jordan Love saw his stats regress in his second year, but only because he spent some time being banged up. It would help if Matthew Golden emerged as a No. 1 receiver.

Brock Purdy saw his touchdown totals plummet this past year because the 49ers were far worse in the red zone without a healthy Christian McCaffrey.

Drake Maye, QB, Patriots. Bye: .

Drake Maye made plenty of mistakes as a rookie last year, but he also showed some great potential, posting impressive stats in garbage time.

Bo Nix, QB, Broncos. Bye: .

Bo Nix had a great rookie year from a fantasy perspective because of his rushing ability.

Matthew Stafford, QB, Rams. Bye: .

Matthew Stafford is coming off a solid season in which he didn’t have Puka Nacua or Cooper Kupp for a handful of games. He now has Davante Adams in addition to Nacua.

C.J. Stroud, QB, Texans. Bye: .

C.J. Stroud won Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2023, but endured a sophomore slump this past season. I’d like him to rebound, but have concerns with the offensive line.

Cam Ward is not as good as other recent top quarterback picks, but he’s athletic and will be able to rush for enough yardage to be a solid fantasy option.
