2027 NFL Draft Stock Report – 10/27/26

2027 NFL Draft Stock Up

Zeke Berry, CB, Michigan

Indiana had a low-scoring overtime win over Michigan as the Wolverines' defense was superb in limiting Charlie Becker (3-32) and Nick Marsh (2-25). Berry was superb and made some huge plays in the game. In the second quarter, Berry looped around the line to make a tackle in run support near the line of scrimmage. Shortly later, Berry had a good tackle on Josh Hoover on a third-down scramble to stop him short of first-down yardage and force a field goal. Late in the second quarter, Berry had excellent coverage running with Marsh down the sideline, and Berry looked back at the quarterback at the perfect time to make a diving breakup that got his defense off the field. Late in the third quarter, Berry made a game-changing play with his team down 6-0. Berry was in off-man coverage and read the eyes of Josh Hoover to undercut Marsh for an interception with a 37-yard return to set up his offense at the Indiana 13.

This tape is going to help Berry a lot with pro evaluators in the months to come. Berry had sticky coverage on Marsh, showing the ability to run the route to prevent separation. He had excellent technique on when to look back for the ball and showed an excellent ability to play the ball. His ball skills with the batted pass and interception were impressive. Plus, Berry tackled and was active as a run defender and played well on special teams. Berry could end up getting late first-round consideration and looks like a second-round pick at the lowest.

Chris Bracy, S, Michigan

Bracy has been a gritty defender for the Wolverines this season, and that continued last Saturday with an impressive performance versus Indiana. Bracy was all over the field with 13 tackles. He was very good in zone coverage and attacked the Hoosier running backs with a number of stops coming downhill. Bracy flashed in 2025 with 81 tackles, one forced fumble, one interception, and nine passes broken up. Bracy looks like a potential day-two pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.

Jett Jefferson, CB, Mississippi State

While teammate Kelley Jones has gotten more attention, Jefferson has been superb for the Bulldogs as well. In speaking with some team sources, they are really high on Jefferson and think he is a complete player. In 2026, Jefferson has 32 tackles, one forced fumble, and seven passes batted. The 6-foot-1, 200-pounder has a lot of upside as he is only in his first year as a starter. Jefferson could be a first- or second-round pick if he enters the 2027 NFL Draft.

Carter Smith, OT, Indiana

Smith has been a steady and reliable blocker for the Hoosiers. He shows enough athleticism and quickness to block on the edge, with some strength as a run blocker. Smith is a steady blocker but not overly dominant. Hence, he is viewed as more of a day-two prospect, but this is a weak tackle class and he plays a premium position, so Smith could rise into late first-round consideration.

Zereoue Williams, OT, Utah

The 6-foot-8, 305-pound Williams is a massive tackle, and he is enjoying a breakout season. Williams was a backup in 2025 behind Spencer Fano and Caleb Lomu, so Williams has upside to develop in his first year as a starter. He is large at the point of attack with length and moves well for his size. Williams benefits from 2027 being a weak year for offensive tackle talent, and he could be a first-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.

DeJuan Lane, S, Tennessee

Lane has been an active and disruptive defender for the Volunteers this season. He has 36 tackles with two sacks, three interceptions, and four passes batted. He has shown versatility in zone coverage, being able to play nickel corner and defend the run. Lane (6-2, 215) has good size and could be a starting strong safety in the NFL. Lane could be playing himself into day two of the 2027 NFL Draft.

2027 NFL Draft Stock Down

Trinidad Chambliss, QB, Ole Miss

Chambliss had some real struggles against Texas. Chambliss finished completing 25-of-52 passes for 250 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions, with one of the picks coming on a Hail Mary. This tape is not going to help Chambliss draft grade. While he had some good plays and made some nice throws from the pocket, he struggled mightily in the first half, Chambliss was 6-of-18 for 63 yards with two interceptions as Texas laid a blueprint of keeping Chambliss in the pocket. Those struggles illustrated potential issues in the NFL. Defenses are going to play him in containment regularly, so he is going to have to continue to improve his pocket passing ability, which is a challenge for a 6-foot quarterback. Chambliss is great throwing on the run with a strong and accurate arm. He also is superb at ad-libbing his team into big plays. However, Chambliss has some limitations that are going to have to be accounted for by his pro team.
