The Matchups:
This game features a good draft matchup with Jones taking on Sategna. Sategna is a fast receiver, so it will help Jones draft stock if he can show that he is a big corner who also has the speed to run with an explosive wideout. Mateer has struggled this year, but got a huge win over Texas. Mateer needs to produce a stack of better tape in the back half of the season to get consideration in the top half of the draft.
Ole Miss vs. Texas; Oct. 24, 7:30 PM ET ABC
The Prospects:
Ole Miss
Texas
The Matchups:
This game features two potential first-round picks in Manning and Chambliss. Chambliss stock has risen this season while Manning’s has been in decline. Manning had fourth-quarter turnovers that led to the Longhorns losing two straight to Oklahoma and Florida. Chambliss could be tested by the past pass rusher in college football, Simmons. However, Simmons was injured and carted into the locker room last Saturday. Chambliss needs to produce good tape showing him passing effectively out of the pocket. Both Manning and Chambliss have a lot riding on their performance in the back half of the season.
