One of the teams that could be the hardest to project in the 2026 NFL Draft is the Miami Dolphins. New general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan and head coach Jeff Hafley. At his introductory press conference, Hafley said they wanted to get more physical and build up their talent on the offensive and defensive line. In speaking with team sources, that is definitely a top priority, but they are keeping their options open with the 11th pick in the first round.
In speaking with sources, Miami’s preference is to draft for the offensive or defensive line. However, they won’t reach for the need and will follow their board. Miami needs help on the lines, but could also use a replacement for Tyreek Hill and help in the secondary. Prospects that sound like they are candidates for the Dolphins pick include Clemson defensive tackle Peter Woods, Ohio State wide receiver Carnell Tate, Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson, Miami Hurricanes right tackle Francis Mauigoa, and Canes’ defensive end Rueben Bain.
Miami also has a lot of draft ammo with three third-round picks, so they have the ability to move up in the draft. However, sources say that it is very unlikely because they need the picks to address their roster. It would be more likely that they would move down to get more picks, but trading down is always easier said than done and can’t be planned on. In my latest 2026 NFL Mock Draft, I have the Dolphins taking one of those options that are potential top candidates.
