The Georgia Bulldogs have been a factory for good defensive talent for the NFL, and many people have projected cornerback Kelee Ringo to continue the program’s train of first-round cornerback prospects. Following in the recent line of players like DeAndre Baker and Eric Stokes, Ringo has taken over as Georgia’s top cornerback in 2022. However, sources from a handful of NFL teams alltold WalterFootball.com that they are projecting Ringo to the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Ringo is having his best season for the Bulldogs this year, collecting 24 tackles, one interception and three passes broken up so far. The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder has a good combination of size and speed aside a skill set that is similar to former Georgia cornerback Tyson Campbell. Campbell went at the top of the second round of his draft class in 2021, and pro team sources see Ringo in the same light.

“Kelee is almost a Campbell clone,” said an AFC director of player personnel. “Kelee is a little bigger and not quite as tough. Campbell is a tick faster, and both lack true ball skills.”

Four other independently sources said they liked Ringo’s size and speed, but they feel that he has some stiffness and change of direction receivers are going to give him problems in the NFL. Hence, they see Ringo as more of a second-round pick rather than a true first-rounder like some have hyped him to be.
