2020 NBA Mock Draft: Round 1 – Picks 16-30
2020 NBA Mock Draft: Round 2
-
Charlotte Hornets: James Wiseman, C, Memphis, 7-0, Fr.
Wiseman is the ideal big man for the modern NBA. He can score on the block and handle his own on the perimeter. Defensively, Wiseman uses his length and athleticism to be a major factor as a rebounder and shot blocker. -
Memphis Grizzlies: Anthony Edwards, SG, Georgia, 6-4, Fr.
A pure scorer, Edwards can create his own shot with ease whether he’s pulling up and shooting it from the outside or using his strength and athleticism at the rim. His aggressiveness on both ends will be very attractive to NBA teams. -
Cleveland Cavaliers: R.J. Hampton, SG, USA, 6-5, 2002.
After graduating from high school a year early, Hampton chose to play a year of professional ball in Australia this season versus going the college route. He is a skilled guard who is capable of creating for himself at a high level. -
Phoenix Suns: Cole Anthony, PG, North Carolina, 6-3, Fr.
Anthony is a complete point guard prospect. He has good size, athleticism, the ability to get to the bucket, and the stroke to get buckets from downtown. -
Minnesota Timberwolves: Theo Maledon, PG, France, 6-5, 2001
With a real smooth feel for the game, Maledon operates extremely well in ball-screen situations. He has played professionally overseas and should transition well to the NBA game. -
Washington Wizards: Isaiah Stewart, PF, Washington, 6-9, Fr.
Stewart plays with a high motor and can bully opponents down low. Becoming a more well-rounded offensive threat will be key to his development. -
Chicago Bulls: Deni Avdija, SF, Israel, 6-9, 2000.
A sniper from the outside, Avdija has a very Euro feel to his game with his ability to handle the ball as well. His athleticism isn’t at the ideal NBA level, but his feel for the game is. -
New York Knicks: LaMelo Ball, G, USA, 6-6, 2001.
We have all seen the high school videos of him cherry picking and chucking shots. How his game matures this season while he plays professionally in Australia will determine if he is more than just a ball-hungry gunner. So far, he has looked impressive. -
Atlanta Hawks: Jaden McDaniels, PF, Washington, 6-10, Fr.
Length, athleticism and upside are what make McDaniels a lottery prospect. He needs to get stronger and improve his consistency as a shooter. -
Detroit Pistons: Ayo Dosunmu, PG, Illinois, 6-4, Soph.
With great size and athleticism for the next level, Dosunmu is at his best attacking the tin but is an inconsistent outside shooter. -
Sacramento Kings: Jalen Smith, PF, Maryland, 6-10, Soph.
Smith has a great combination of size and athleticism for a frontcourt player and can also step out and knock down jumpers. -
New Orleans Pelicans: Precious Achuwia, F, Memhpis, 6-9, Fr.
Achuwia is lengthy and versatile, and capable of playing either forward spot at the next level. -
Dallas Mavericks: Khalil Whitney, SF, Kentucky, 6-7, Fr.
The Kentucky freshman is a high flyer at the rim. If his perimeter game can continue to mature during his freshman season, he should be a lottery lock. -
San Antonio Spurs: Vernon Carey Jr., C, Duke, 6-10, Fr.
The lefty use his strength and physicality to carve out space inside. He is a solid athlete and has shown the potential to be an inside/outside threat. -
Miami Heat: Nico Mannion, PG, Arizona, 6-2, Fr.
Mannion is a pure point guard in every sense of the meaning. He plays with a great pace and knows how to find open teammates. He can hold his own as a scorer as well but is a good, not great athlete when compared to NBA point guards.
