The value of the tight end position was put on clear display during the 2025 NFL Draft. Two tight ends were selected in the top half of the first round, and three more went in the top 50. Teams love tight ends that can be versatile chess pieces to use as mismatch receivers and contributors to the rushing attack. One tight end who could keep the trend alive in 2026 is Oregon’s Kenyon Sadiq. After speaking with multiple team sources, Sadiq is creating a real buzz with scouts coming through Oregon.
Sadiq has not produced a big stat line to this point in his college football career, but scouts love his skill set. In the season opener, he had one catch for 20 yards and a touchdown. Sadiq flashed in 2024 with 24 catches for 308 yards and two touchdowns. The 6-foot-3, 245-pound Sadiq is a dangerous receiver with speed and athleticism.
With Oregon losing some receiver talent to the NFL and already losing Evan Stewart for the season, Sadiq could get a bigger role and more targets in the weeks to come.
