2024 Fantasy Football Rankings – Running Backs

Last Updated: September 3

Top 10 | 11-20 | 21-40 | 41-75 |

Other Positions: QB | RB | WR | TE | DraftSharks’ Projections
1. Breece Hall, RB, Jets. Bye: 12.

Breece Hall was able to post Marshall Faulk-type numbers late last season. Now another year removed from his torn ACL, Hall should have a huge 2024.

Projected 2024 Fantasy Stats: 1,300 rushing yards. 84 catches. 750 receiving yards. 12 total TDs.
Projected 2024 Fantasy Points: 277.

2. Christian McCaffrey, RB, 49ers. Bye: 9.

Christian McCaffrey suffered a calf strain and will miss several weeks of practice as a result. He could be fine by Week 1, but soft-tissue injuries tend to linger. I was already on the fence concerning McCaffrey’s status as the No. 1 player in my fantasy football rankings because of his injury history and the wear and tear his body has taken in recent years. This will be the straw that broke the camel’s back in that regard.

Projected 2024 Fantasy Stats: 1,320 rushing yards. 72 catches. 460 receiving yards. 16 total TDs.
Projected 2024 Fantasy Points: 274.

3. Bijan Robinson, RB, Falcons. Bye: 12.

Bijan Robinson owners will no longer have to worry about Arthur Smith’s incompetence, as Smith was fired by the Falcons. Robinson should see a huge uptick in his workload.

Projected 2024 Fantasy Stats: 1,320 rushing yards. 65 catches. 550 receiving yards. 14 total TDs.
Projected 2024 Fantasy Points: 271.

4. Jonathan Taylor, RB, Colts. Bye: 14.

Jonathan Taylor missed time with a holdout and injuries last year. He should be back to his former self next season.

Projected 2024 Fantasy Stats: 1,520 rushing yards. 34 catches. 270 receiving yards. 15 total TDs.
Projected 2024 Fantasy Points: 269.

5. Saquon Barkley, RB, Eagles. Bye: 5.

Saquon Barkley had a down year playing behind a miserable offensive line. He’ll have the best blocking unit of his career in Philadelphia.

Projected 2024 Fantasy Stats: 1,320 rushing yards. 55 catches. 390 receiving yards. 16 total TDs.
Projected 2024 Fantasy Points: 267.

6. Jahmyr Gibbs, RB, Lions. Bye: 5.

Jahmyr Gibbs took a back seat to David Montgomery to start the year, but his role increased as the season progressed. He should be in for a huge 2024 campaign.

Projected 2024 Fantasy Stats: 1,170 rushing yards. 72 catches. 650 receiving yards. 14 total TDs.
Projected 2024 Fantasy Points: 266.

7. Kyren Williams, RB, Rams. Bye: 6.

Kyren Williams snatched the starting running back job away from Cam Akers and had some terrific performances, even against tough opponents. Unfortunately, there are some serious injury risks.

Projected 2024 Fantasy Stats: 1,340 rushing yards. 52 catches. 370 receiving yards. 15 total TDs.
Projected 2024 Fantasy Points: 261.

8. Josh Jacobs, RB, Packers. Bye: 10.

The Raiders did not block very well for Josh Jacobs last year. He’ll be in a much better offense with the Packers in 2024 and beyond.

Projected 2024 Fantasy Stats: 1,310 rushing yards. 38 catches. 270 receiving yards. 13 total TDs.
Projected 2024 Fantasy Points: 236.

9. Isiah Pacheco, RB, Chiefs. Bye: 6.

Isiah Pacheco is a tough runner who has developed into a much better receiver.

Projected 2024 Fantasy Stats: 1,140 rushing yards. 57 catches. 390 receiving yards. 10 total TDs.
Projected 2024 Fantasy Points: 213.

10. Travis Etienne, RB, Jaguars. Bye: 12.

Travis Etienne was inconsistent last year, but was able to score 12 total touchdowns in an improved offense. The blocking could stand to improve, and if it does, Etienne will project much better.

Projected 2024 Fantasy Stats: 1,100 rushing yards. 52 catches. 360 receiving yards. 11 total TDs.
Projected 2024 Fantasy Points: 212.
