The field workouts and medical exams at the NFL Scouting Combine are very important part of the process, but just as important if not more are the team interviews. Players have job interviews that cover their background, character, work ethic, playing career, football I.Q., and more. Every year, some players impress team evaluators and some players hurt themselves with bad interviews. In speaking with team sources, here are some players that were said to be standouts and really interviewed well in Indianapolis: Colorado Cornerback Travis Hunter, Texas Offensive Tackle Kelvin Banks, LSU Offensive Tackle Will Campbell, Georgia Outside Linebacker Jalon Walker, and Miami Quarterback Cam Ward.
Sources raved about Hunter as being a great kid. They love his dedication to football, and his lowkey, no risk lifestyle that he leads when he isn’t training.
Some players that team sources say hurt themselves in the interviews included Tennessee edge rusher James Pearce Jr., Kansas cornerback Cobee Bryant, and Texas offensive tackle Cam Williams.
