No Consensus on 3rd Cornerback Prospect

Benjamin Morrison

In the leadup to the 2025 NFL Draft, Colorado’s Travis Hunter and Michigan’s Will Johnson have been the consensus top two cornerback prospects. Hunter is a lock to be a top-five pick and looks likely to go in the top three. Johnson is likely to go in the top half of the first round and could go in the top 10. After Johnson comes off the board, the next cornerback to come off the board is an open debate. After a survey of team sources, there was no consensus on a third cornerback prospect.

Corners that received votes to be the third cornerback drafted included Ole Miss’ Trey Amos, Texas’ Jahdae Barron, Notre Dame’s Benjamin Morrison, Florida State’s Azareye’h Thomas, and Kentucky’s Maxwell Hairston.

“After Travis and Will, it will be dealer’s choise,” texted an NFC national scout. “It will just depend on team prefernce, scheme, etc.”

In my latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft, Morrison was the third cornerback based on him having excellent tape from 2023. However, that could be wrong and there are many possible options for which cornerback goes next after Hunter and Johnson.
