2011 NFL Betting Props

2011 NFL Betting Props: Teams

Jacksonville Jaguars: Under 6.5 Wins
I think the Jaguars are one of the worst teams in the NFL. Jack Del Rio is a lame-duck coach, while David Garrard is a couple poor games away from being benched. The offensive line is garbage, while the defense can’t put pressure on the quarterback.

Betting 2 Units (-120) on 5Dimes.com — Correct; +$200

Kansas City Chiefs: Under 7.5 Wins
Try to get this in before the sportsbooks adjust for Matt Cassel’s injury. Kansas City is in store for a huge decline now that it has to deal with a tougher schedule and Charlie Weis’ departure.

Betting 4 Units (-110) on 5Dimes.com — Correct; +$400

Miami Dolphins: Under 7.5 Wins
We have another quit situation here. The worst-kept secret in the NFL is that the Dolphins wanted to replace Tony Sparano with Jim Harbaugh. If the Dolphins begin slowly, the team will quit on Sparano. Oh, and Chad Henne stinks.

Betting 4 Units (-145) on 5Dimes.com — Correct; +$400

New England Patriots: Over 11.5 Wins
I usually hate betting overs because an injury or two could screw the bet, but I don’t see the Patriots winning fewer than 13 games. Hell, I could see them going undefeated.

Betting 3 Units (-105) on 5Dimes.com — Correct; +$300

Oakland Raiders: Under 6.5 Wins
The Raiders won eight games with Nnamdi Asomugha and Zach Miller. No way they’re winning seven without them – especially with San Diego expected to rebound.

Betting 2 Units (-115) on 5Dimes.com or Bodog — Incorrect; -$230

San Francisco 49ers: Under 7.5 Wins
I don’t understand this win total. The 49ers stink. Jim Harbaugh admitted as much when he refused to find an upgrade over Alex Smith.

Betting 3 Units (-115) on 5Dimes.com — Incorrect; -$345

Seattle Seahawks: Under 6.5 Wins
I’m depressed the juice is so high on the Under because the Seahawks are the worst team in the NFL.

Betting 2 Units (-200) on Bodog — Incorrect; -$400

2011 NFL Betting Props: Players

Felix Jones – Over 850 Rushing Yards
If you’ve been following my 2011 Fantasy Football Rankings, you know that I love Felix Jones this year. He should be able to eclipse 850 rushing yards with ease.

Betting 2 Units (-130) on Bodog — Incorrect; -$260

Dez Bryant – Over 800 Receiving Yards
Another fantasy favorite of mine is Dez Bryant. He’s going to have a huge year.

Betting 2 Units (-125) on Bodog — Correct; +$200

Jamaal Charles – Under 7.5 Rushing Touchdowns
Jamaal Charles has yet to eclipse seven rushing touchdowns in a single season for his career, so I don’t see him reaching eight in 2011 – especially with Matt Cassel due to miss some time with cracked ribs.

Betting 1 Unit (-125) on Bodog — Correct; +$100

Steve Breaston – Under 700 Receiving Yards
Steve Breaston’s knees are shot. It’s extremely unlikely that he reaches anything close to 700 receiving yards.

Betting 3 Units (-130) on Bodog — Incorrect; -$390

Jimmy Graham – Over 600 Receiving Yards and 6.5 Touchdowns
I didn’t know which one to bet, so I’m putting one unit on each. Jimmy Graham is going to be a huge part of New Orleans’ offense this year.

Betting 1 Unit each (-130) and (-115) on Bodog — Correct; +$200

Tim Hightower – Over 700 Rushing Yards
Tim Hightower is another running back I love, and 700 rushing yards is such a low number. Hightower is perfect for Mike Shanahan’s blocking scheme, and should be able to clear this number easily.

Betting 2 Units (-115) on Bodog — Incorrect; -$230

Will Carson Palmer play in a game in the 2011 Regular Season?
Carson Palmer has enough money to walk away from football forever, and he’s made it known that he doesn’t want to play for the Bengals. Owner Mike Brown is the most stubborn person in the universe. I’ll be shocked if Palmer plays.

Betting 2 Units on No (-120) on Bodog — Incorrect; -$240
