Florida State wide receiver Keon Coleman was one of the breakout stars of Week 1 this season, putting up a monster performance to lead his program to an impressive victory over LSU. Against the Tigers, Coleman turned nine receptions into 122 yards and three touchdowns, leading the Seminoles on the stat sheet. There were a lot of NFL evaluators at the game, and a director of player personnel who spoke with WalterFootball.com this week said they think Coleman could be a future first-rounder.

“I could see him grading out as a starter and going in the first,” said the director. “He has mismatch size, moves well, runs well. He showed it all last Sunday.”

Coleman was playing in his first game at Florida State after transferring from Michigan State. In 2022 with the Spartans, Coleman had 58 catches for 798 yards and seven touchdowns. The 6-foot-4, 215-pounder is a big receiver who showed he is a valuable red-zone player against LSU. If Coleman can stay consistent over the course of the 2023 season, he could be an opening night selection next April in the 2024 NFL Draft.
