Team Profile:

Washington has started a huge rebuild by trading Kristaps Porzingis and Bradley Beal. The Wizards also signed Kyle Kuzma for $94 million, and their core players seem to be Jordan Poole, Kyle Kuzma and rookie Bilal Coulibaly. Poole and Kuzma will likely average 45-plus points a game. I love that Coulibaly, the seventh pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, will get playing time on a team that will be poor, as he will get as many minutes as he can handle. After those three, the rest of the roster should be considered trade fodder, although I’m a fan of Kispert, Jones and rookie big Vukcevic. Really, this team is a mess.

Player Profile:

I have no idea why Kuzma and the Wizards agreed to a contract. The Wizards are rebuilding, and he signed for a bit more money than he would have made on an excellent team. This is easily one of the moves in the offseason that confused me most.

Biggest Strength: Point Guard

Biggest Weakness: Fives

Record: 20-62, 15th in Eastern Conference
