Team Profile:
The Suns have traded away Chris Paul and DeAndre Ayton, but they have gained much-, much-needed depth, and by basically getting Bradley Beal for a 12-pack of cola, they have the superstars to pair with the valuable additions. Phoenix’s only goal should have been a roster that can somehow beat Denver, and although the Suns still trail them, they are an improved team this season.
Player Profile:
This has to be Bradley Beal. Injuries have hurt his playing time as of late, but he’s still one of the NBA’s truly elite shooters and scorers, and an excellent playmaker. That playmaker aspect is important because by the organization’s own admission, he is the starting point guard. Beal is more than capable of this, as he’s been more of a combo guard since John Wall left, but hasn’t been an actual point guard in the league. Kevin Durant and Devin Booker will take a lot of the stress from Beal in that regard, but it is still important to see how he handles being a point guard this season.
