2014 NBA Draft Scouting Report: Semaj Christon
Position: Point Guard
Size: 6-3, 190
School: Xavier, Sophomore
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Summary: From a physical-tools standpoint, there are a lot of things to like about Christon. He brings good size, physicality, and speed to the point guard position, but his lack of being a true distributor and his outside-shooting deficiencies hurt his draft stock. Christon could be a late first-round pick based on potential alone, but he might end up slipping into the second round.
Player Comparison: Ramon Sessions. Sessions is at his best using his size, quickness, and driving ability to get to the rim. He is not a consistent outside shooter and doesn’t possess great floor-general skills. Christon will enter the association with similar attributes and projects as a backup at the next level.
