2014 NBA Draft Scouting Report: Gary Harris
Position: Shooting Guard
Size: 6-4, 210
School: Michigan State, Sophomore
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Summary: Finally fully healthy after playing banged up during his freshman campaign, Gary Harris has proven to be one of the better all-around shooting guards in the country. He can score from all areas of the floor whether with his outside shooting or attacking the rim. Harris should be a solid shooting guard at the next level, which is why he should be selected in the late lottery.
Player Comparison: Gerald Henderson. Henderson has developed into a solid, but not spectacular, NBA shooting guard, partially because he still struggles shooting it from deep. Harris is a better outside shooter than Henderson, though not as explosive around the rim. The Spartan sophomore should have a nice NBA career like Henderson has thus far, but I don’t see Harris being a superstar-level two guard.
