2013 NBA Draft Scouting Report: Lorenzo Brown
Position: Point Guard
Size: 6-5, 190
School: N.C. State, Junior
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Summary: Brown has terrific size and play-making ability for a point guard, but his inconsistencies shooting the ball and tendency to turn it over too much hurt his NBA Draft position. He has lottery potential, but until he puts it all together on a nightly basis, the mid-late first round seems like a more realistic landing spot for him.
Player Comparison: Shaun Livingston. At 6-7, Livingston has terrific size for a play-maker but has spent more time playing the two guard spot in the NBA. Brown is a lengthy, athletic point guard as well and like Livingston, struggles shooting the rock from deep. Both guys rely on their slashing ability to score or create for teammates.
