Zack Baun was one of the top linebackers in the NFL last year. He was good against the run and elite in coverage.
Harold Landry, OLB, Titans. Age: 29.
Signed with Patriots (3 years, $43.5 million)

D.J. Reed, CB, Jets. Age: 28.
Signed with Lions (3 years, $48 million)
D.J. Reed is a very talented cornerback, who is coming off a bit of a down season. He should rebound with a real defensive coordinator.
Alaric Jackson, OT, Rams. Age: 27.
Re-signed with Rams (3 years, $57 million)
Alaric Jackson is a terrific pass protector. He’s not as good at run blocking, but it’s not like he’s a liability in that regard.

Nate Hobbs is an excellent slot cornerback. He’s also just 26 despite seemingly being in the NFL for an eternity.

Anthony Walker is a quality linebacker when healthy, but he has suffered tons of injuries in recent years.
Tyler Huntley, QB, Dolphins. Age: 27.
Tyler Huntley did well as a backup in Baltimore. He didn’t have much support from Mike McDaniel in Miami.
Kendall Lamm, OT, Dolphins. Age: 33.
Signed with Eagles
Kendall Lamm filled in well last year for the injured Austin Jackson, holding up well in pass protection.
Mo Alie-Cox, TE, Colts. Age: 31.
Re-signed with Colts
Mo Alie-Cox is one of the better blocking tight ends in the NFL.
Joe Flacco, QB, Colts. Age: 40.
Signed with Browns
Perhaps Joe Flacco can rekindle what he had in Cleveland in 2023, but he looked done in most games last year.
Dayo Odeyingbo, DE, Colts. Age: 25.
Signed with Bears
Dayo Odeyingbo had a down 2024 season, but logged 12 sacks the prior year.
Kelvin Beachum, OT, Cardinals. Age: 36.
Re-signed with Cardinals
Kelvin Beachum served as a quality backup last year, particularly in pass protection, but at 36, time is running out for him.
Zay Jones, WR, Cardinals. Age: 29.
Re-signed with Cardinals (1 year, $4.4 million)
Zay Jones was productive recently, but dealt with a suspension last year and then never emerged on his new team.
Baron Browning, OLB, Cardinals. Age: 26.
Re-signed with Cardinals (2 years, $15 million)
Baron Browning is a quality pass rusher, but has a dubious injury history.
Greg Dortch, WR, Cardinals. Age: 27.
Re-signed with Cardinals (1 year)
Greg Dortch had always improved each year – until last season. It’s unclear why he didn’t take the next step, but he’s still young.
Khalil Herbert, RB, Bengals. Age: 27.
Signed with Colts
Khalil Herbert is a talented running back, but has never really been given the chance to be the lead back.
Zach Wilson, QB, Broncos. Age: 26.
Signed with Dolphins (1 year, $6 million)
Geno Smith and Sam Darnold are former Jet quarterbacks who have thrived elsewhere, so perhaps Zach Wilson can be next. Wilson has loads of talent, but hasn’t been properly developed.
Cody Barton, ILB, Broncos. Age: 28.
Signed with Titans (3 years, $21 million)
Cody Barton is very forceful against the run, but tends to get abused in coverage.
Javonte Williams, RB, Broncos. Age: 25.
Signed with Cowboys (1 year, $3.5 million)
Javonte Williams showed tons of potential to begin his career, but has never fully recovered from his ACL tear.
Zach Cunningham, ILB, Broncos. Age: 30.
Zach Cunningham was barely used in Denver last year, but he had a solid season with the Eagles in 2023.
Mike Williams, WR, Steelers. Age: 30.
Signed with Chargers (1 year, $6 million)
Mike Williams had predictable struggles coming off a torn ACL. He should do better in 2025.
Donte Jackson, CB, Steelers. Age: 29.
Signed with Chargers (2 years, $13 million)
Donte Jackson is coming off a down year in his first season with the Steelers.
Justin Fields, QB, Steelers. Age: 26.
Signed with Jets (2 years, $40 million)
Justin Fields was benched for Russell Wilson last year, but at only 26, he still has potential.
Elandon Roberts, ILB, Steelers. Age: 31.
Signed with Raiders (1 year, $3 million)
Elandon Roberts is a stalwart run defender, but struggles in coverage. At 31, Roberts could decline soon.
Russell Wilson, QB, Steelers. Age: 36.
Signed with Giants (1 year, $21 million)
Russell Wilson looked like a decrepit quarterback in Denver, but he had some great performances to begin his tenure in Pittsburgh. The carriage turned into a pumpkin at the end, however.
Taylor Heinicke, QB, Chargers. Age: 32.
Re-signed with Chargers (2 years)
Taylor Heinicke is a top-end backup who has enjoyed some success in his career.
Morgan Fox, DE, Chargers. Age: 30.
Signed with Falcons (2 years, $8.5 million)
Morgan Fox has averaged slightly more than five sacks over the past three years.
Kristian Fulton, CB, Chargers. Age: 27.
Signed with Chiefs (2 years, $20 million)
Kristian Fulton has been inconsistent throughout his career. He’s coming off his best season.
Josh Palmer, WR, Chargers. Age: 25.
Signed with Bills (3 years, $36 million)
Josh Palmer made some big plays in relief of some injured receivers in 2023, but was a disappointment last year.
Teair Tart, DT, Chargers. Age: 28.
Re-signed with Chargers (1 year, $5.5 million)
Teair Tart played well last year as a rotational defensive lineman.
Bradley Bozeman, C, Chargers. Age: 30.
Re-signed with Chargers
Bradley Bozeman is a solid run blocker, but struggles in pass protection.
Eric Stokes, CB, Packers. Age: 26.
Signed with Raiders (1 year, $4 million)
Eric Stokes has been a disappointment as a former first-round pick, but he’s still young and has potential. He had some nice moments last year mixed in with some horrible ones.
Josh Myers, C, Packers. Age: 27.
Signed with Jets (1 year, $3.5 million)
Josh Myers is a sub-par starting center. He had a nice 2022, but hasn’t played well since.
Stephon Gilmore, CB, Vikings. Age: 34.
Stephon Gilmore had a mediocre season. At 34, his time is nearly up.
Diontae Johnson, WR, Texans. Age: 29.
Signed with Browns
Diontae Johnson is a very talented receiver, but he also happens to be a major headcase.
Devin White, ILB, Texans. Age: 27.
Signed with Raiders
Devin White used to excel in coverage. Injuries have derailed his career, but he’s still just 27, so he can rebound.
Demarcus Robinson, WR, Rams. Age: 30.
Signed with 49ers (2 years, $9.5 million)
Demarcus Robinson has emerged as a viable tertiary target for Matthew Stafford, particularly in the end zone.
Mike Hoecht, DT, Rams. Age: 27.
Signed with Bills (3 years, $24 million)
Mike Hoecht has produced an average of five sacks per year over the past three seasons, all while holding up well against the run.
John Johnson, S, Rams. Age: 29.
John Johnson has been an inconsistent player throughout his career. He missed most of 2024 with a shoulder injury.
Levi Onwuzurike, DT, Lions. Age: 27.
Re-signed with Lions (1 year, $5.5 million)
Levi Onwuzurike saw his playing time expand last year and made the most of it with plenty of pressures.
Tim Patrick, WR, Lions. Age: 31.
Re-signed with Lions (1 year, $4 million)
It was shocking that the Broncos cut Tim Patrick. The Lions were able to benefit from Patrick’s strong play. Unfortunately for Patrick, he’s 31 and has an extensive injury history.
Dante Fowler, DE, Redskins. Age: 31.
Signed with Cowboys (1 year, $8 million)
Dante Fowler logged 11 sacks last year, but that stat is not indicative of how he played. Fowler was just solid, and he figures to decline now that he’s 31.
Zach Ertz, TE, Redskins. Age: 34.
Re-signed with Redskins (1 year)
Zach Ertz was still productive last year despite his age, but he won’t be able to play this way forever.
Cornelius Lucas, OT, Redskins. Age: 34.
Signed with Browns
Cornelius Lucas was a surprise performer for the Redskins last year, thriving as the team’s blind-side protector. However, his age means he could be in for some regression soon.
Olamide Zaccheaus, WR, Redskins. Age: 28.
Signed with Bears (1 year)
Olamide Zaccheaus had some nice performances down the stretch last year.
Dyami Brown, WR, Redskins. Age: 25.
Signed with Jaguars (1 year)
Dyami Brown showed nice potential with some big games late in the year, including a huge performance against the Lions in the playoffs.
Noah Brown, WR, Redskins. Age: 29.
Re-signed with Redskins (1 year, $4.5 million)
Noah Brown was having a solid season before missing the second half of the year with a kidney injury.
Ty Johnson, RB, Bills. Age: 27.
Re-signed with Bills (2 years, $5 million)
Ty Johnson is a nifty receiving threat out of the backfield.
Damar Hamlin, S, Bills. Age: 27.
Re-signed with Bills (1 year)
Damar Hamlin did well last year, particularly in run support. His coverage skills weren’t nearly as good.
DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Chiefs. Age: 33.
Signed with Ravens (1 year, $5 million)
DeAndre Hopkins had some nice performances for the Chiefs, but did nothing in many others. He’s well past his prime.
Charles Omenihu, DE, Chiefs. Age: 28.
Re-signed with Chiefs (1 year, $7 million)
Charles Omenihu wasn’t quite the same last year when he returned from his torn ACL. He should bounce back in 2025.
Carson Wentz, QB, Chiefs. Age: 32.
Carson Wentz is a premium backup. Given his time with Andy Reid and Sean McVay, it’s fair to wonder if he could be a decent starter again.
Tershawn Wharton, DE, Chiefs. Age: 27.
Signed with Panthers (3 years, $54 million)
Tershawn Wharton is an undersized player who struggles against the run. However, he’s a dangerous pass rusher who produced seven sacks last year.
D.J. Humphries, OT, Chiefs. Age: 31.
Signed with 49ers
D.J. Humphries looked awful in his brief stint with the Chiefs last year, but he was coming off injury. He could be much better in 2025 once his health improves.
Kareem Hunt, RB, Chiefs. Age: 30.
Re-signed with Chiefs (1 year, $1.5 million)
Kareem Hunt filled in well as Isiah Pacheco’s injury replacement last year, but he’s 30 now, so he doesn’t have much time remaining.
Preston Smith, DE, Steelers. Age: 32.
Preston Smith struggled last season, but is only a year removed from logging nine sacks. He could be finished as a viable player, however.
DeMarcus Walker, DE, Bears. Age: 30.
DeMarcus Walker is a Jack-of-all-trades, master-of-nothing defensive lineman who can be a decent rotational player for another year or two.
Juan Thornhill, S, Browns. Age: 29.
Signed with Steelers
Juan Thornhill was known as a stellar safety when he was with the Chiefs, but he disappointed in Cleveland.
Darius Slay, CB, Eagles. Age: 34.
Signed with Steelers (1 year, $10 million)
Darius Slay said he’ll play one more year. His skills have diminished now that he’s 34, but he can still be a decent starter.
Alex Cappa, G, Bengals. Age: 30.
Signed with Raiders (2 years, $11 million)
Alex Cappa has regressed in recent seasons, and he was particularly awful last year. However, he’s just 30, so he could have another decent season or two.
Dre'Mont Jones, DT, Seahawks. Age: 28.
Signed with Titans (1 year, $10 million)
Dre’Mont Jones has regressed as a pass rusher compared to his days in Denver. He struggles against the run.
Gardner Minshew, QB, Raiders. Age: 29.
Signed with Chiefs (1 year)
Gardner Minshew is one of the better backup quarterbacks in the NFL, but we’ve seen that he should not be a long-term starter.
Tyler Lockett, WR, Seahawks. Age: 32.
Signed with Titans (1 year, $4 million)
Tyler Lockett’s talent has been sapped by his age, but he could still have one more half-decent season remaining.
Dee Alford, CB, Falcons. Age: 27.
Dee Alford had a solid season as Atlanta’s slot corner in 2023, but regressed last year.
Nate Landman, ILB, Falcons. Age: 26.
Signed with Rams
Nate Landman had a quality season as a run defender, but struggled in coverage.
Shaq Mason, G, Texans. Age: 32.
Shaq Mason’s skills have eroded in recent years, but he wasn’t bad in pass protection last year.
Jonathan Allen, DT, Redskins. Age: 30.
Signed with Vikings (3 years, $60 million)
Jonathan Allen used to be a dominant defensive tackle, but those days are long gone. He had trouble staying healthy last season, but he’s still 30, and a bounce-back season is a possibility.
Grady Jarrett, DT, Falcons. Age: 32.
Signed with Bears (3 years, $43.5 million)
Grady Jarrett was once a fierce pass rusher who was dominant against the run, but both aspects of his game have diminished with age.
Dalvin Tomlinson, DT, Browns. Age: 31.
Signed with Cardinals (2 years, $29 million)
Dalvin Tomlinson was once an exceptional defensive tackle in all aspects. He has declined with age recently, but should still be able to put together one more solid year.
Marcus Williams, S, Ravens. Age: 29.
Marcus Williams was atrocious in coverage last year, but he used to be a great player. At just 28, he’s young enough to rebound.
Cooper Kupp, WR, Rams. Age: 32.
Signed with Seahawks (3 years, $45 million)
It’s no surprise that there wasn’t a market for Cooper Kupp prior to his release. He looked washed last year and it would be surprising if he were to revert to pre-2024 form, given his age.
David Andrews, C, Patriots. Age: 33.
David Andrews has been a great center for a long time, but he has declined in recent years. He played just three full games in 2024.
Justin Tucker, K, Ravens. Age: 35.
Justin Tucker has regressed lately, but that has been overshadowed by his off-the-field accusations.
Gabe Davis, WR, Jaguars. Age: 26.
Gabe Davis was a huge bust in Jacksonville, but he’s still just 26, so there’s some upside remaining.
Jadeveon Clowney, DE, Panthers. Age: 32.
Jadeveon Clowney logged six sacks last year, so he can still be a functional player. However, his best days are long gone.
Germaine Pratt, ILB, Bengals. Age: 29.
Signed with Raiders
Germaine Pratt is a solid run defender, but isn’t great in coverage. He’s coming off a down year, but is still just 29.
Noah Fant, TE, Seahawks. Age: 27.
Noah Fant seems like he’s been around forever, but he’s only 27. He could be a solid receiving tight end for his next team.
Bobby Brown, DT, Rams. Age: 24.
Signed with Panthers (3 years, $21 million)
Bobby Brown is a stout run stuffer, but doesn’t provide anything as a pass rusher.
Joe Tryon, OLB, Buccaneers. Age: 26.
Signed with Browns (1 year, $4.8 million)
A former first-round pick, Joe Tryon has been a disappointment. He logged just two sacks in 2024. He still has some potential, but time is running out for him.
Joseph Ossai, DE, Bengals. Age: 25.
Re-signed with Bengals (1 year, $7 million)
Joseph Assai is a solid run defender who registered five sacks last year.
Mike Hughes, CB, Falcons. Age: 28.
Re-signed with Falcons (3 years, $18 million)
Mike Hughes is coming off his best season, but he’s had his struggles over the years. He misses a lot of tackles.
E.J. Speed, ILB, Colts. Age: 30.
Signed with Texans (1 year, $5 million)
E.J. Speed is an excellent run defender, but struggles in coverage.
Tyrel Dodson, ILB, Dolphins. Age: 27.
Re-signed with Dolphins (2 years, $8.25 million)
Tyrel Dodson is a great coverage linebacker, but happens to be a big liability against the run.
Jourdan Lewis, CB, Cowboys. Age: 30.
Signed with Jaguars
Jourdan Lewis is coming off his best season as a pro, but it’s not clear how long his high level of play will last, given that he turns 30 this offseason.
Darrell Taylor, OLB, Bears. Age: 28.
Signed with Texans (1 year)
Darrell Taylor had 23 sacks in three seasons with the Seahawks, but was a big disappointment in Chicago with just three sacks last year.
Coleman Shelton, C, Bears. Age: 30.
Signed with Rams (2 years)
Coleman Shelton was solid, but not great in both pass protection and run blocking last year.
Paulson Adebo, CB, Saints. Age: 26.
Signed with Giants
Paulson Adebo played well last year until breaking his leg in Week 7.
Jordan Fuller, S, Panthers. Age: 27.
Signed with Falcons
Jordan Fuller plays well in run support, but struggles to cover.
Elijah Moore, WR, Browns. Age: 25.
Signed with Bills
Elijah Moore is a solid slot receiver, but has never lived up to the high expectations.
Nick Chubb, RB, Browns. Age: 29.
Signed with Texans (1 year, $2.5 million)
Nick Chubb looked like a broken running back last year. He should be better in 2025 after being another year removed from his devastating knee injury. However, he’s 29 now and may never be the same.
Dillon Radunz, G, Titans. Age: 27.
Signed with Saints
Dillon Radunz is a fine pass protector, but struggles in run blocking.
Adoree Jackson, CB, Giants. Age: 29.
Signed with Eagles (1 year)
Adoree Jackson is coming off a solid year, but he’s been an inconsistent, injury-prone player.
Jarran Reed, DT, Seahawks. Age: 32.
Re-signed with Seahawks (3 years)
Jarran Reed is a quality interior pass rusher, but at 32, he doesn’t have much time left.
Najee Harris, RB, Steelers. Age: 27.
Signed with Chargers (1 year)
Najee Harris has remarkably rushed for 1,000 yards every season, but has been a disappointment as a former first-round pick.
