NFL Free Agent Kickers:

  1. Justin Tucker, K, Ravens. Age: 26.
    Franchised by Ravens

Justin Tucker is one of the better kickers in the NFL, as he’s incredibly clutch. However, he’s coming off his worst season as a pro, though he was still better than 80 percent.

  2. Mason Crosby, K, Packers. Age: 31.
    Re-signed with Packers (4 years)

Mason Crosby went 24-of-28 in 2015, including 4-of-5 from 50-plus. He also didn’t miss any extra points, which is a big deal now.

  3. Adam Vinatieri, K, Colts. Age: 43.
    Re-signed with Colts

The ageless wonder, Adam Vinatieri was 25-of-27 in 2015 despite turning 43 in December. It’d be awesome if Vinatieri somehow kicked until he was 50.

  4. Robbie Gould, K, Bears. Age: 34.
    Signed with Giants

I don’t understand why the Bears cut Robbie Gould. Sure, he’s 34, but kickers can be effective nearing 40. He was 33-of-39 last year, including 7-of-9 from 50-plus.

  5. Phil Dawson, K, 49ers. Age: 41.
    Re-signed with 49ers (1 year)

Despite being 40, Phil Dawson missed just one field goal in 2015, and he was a perfect 3-of-3 from 50-plus.

  6. Greg Zuerlein, K, Rams. Age: 28.
    Re-signed with Rams

Greg Zuerlein has one of the strongest legs in the NFL, but he’s not very accurate. He was just 20-of-30 in 2015.

  7. Blair Walsh, K, Vikings. Age: 28.
Blair Walsh was amazing as a rookie, going 10-of-10 from 50-plus. He was even solid for the most part in 2015, going 34-of-39, including 6-of-8 from 50-plus, though he did miss four extra points and lost the playoff game with a whiffed short attempt. Walsh has struggled ever since (12-of-16 in 2015 with four missed extra points). He has kicking talent, but it’s clear that he has lost it mentally. Perhaps he can get it together in the future.

  8. Cody Parkey, K, Eagles. Age: 24. — Signed with Browns
  9. Travis Coons, K, Browns. Age: 24.
  10. Josh Scobee, K, Saints. Age: 34.
  11. Connor Barth, K, Buccaneers. Age: 31. — Signed with Bears
  12. Randy Bullock, K, Giants. Age: 26.
  13. Kai Forbath, K, Saints. Age: 29. — Signed with Vikings

NFL Free Agent Punters:

  1. Marquette King, P, Raiders. Age: 27.
    Re-signed with Raiders

Marquette King was one of the league’s best punters in 2015. He ranked ninth in net average and finished second in punts placed inside the opposing 20.

  2. Bryan Anger, P, Jaguars. Age: 27.
    Signed with Buccaneers (1 year)

Incompetent general manager Gene Smith spent a third-round pick on a punter. Yeah, that actually happened. Bryan Anger was that player, and he didn’t even finish in the top 20 of net punting in 2015.

  3. Brad Nortman, P, Panthers. Age: 26. — Signed with Jaguars (4 years)
  4. Mike Scifres, P, Chargers. Age: 35. — Signed with Panthers
  5. Jon Ryan, P, Seahawks. Age: 34. — Re-signed with Seahawks (4 years, $10 million)
  6. Ryan Quigley, P, Jets. Age: 28.
  7. Shane Lechler, P, Texans. Age: 40. — Re-signed with Texans
  8. Drew Butler (RFA), P, Cardinals. Age: 35. — Re-signed with Cardinals (2 years, $2.4 million)
