There is a good chance that you can save some serious cash on salary cap in your Week 12 DFS lineup by stepping outside the box in the QB department. Your number one option should be Jay Cutler. I know. You are thinking, ‘you want me to put my DFS faith in the freaking Dolphins? Who seem to be performing exactly like a porpoise swims off the coast of Miami … up and down and up and down. But here’s the deal: through Week 9 Cutler was less than 5% owned and proved against the Raiders that he has plenty of targets, dropping three touchdowns to the tune of 311 yards against the Raiders secondary. Parker, Landry, Thomas and a pair of outstanding receiving backs able to get out in the flat or passes dropped right over the top, just outside of the tackles to keep the linebackers honest, will be able to decimate this Jaguars secondary.
A few of you may have been looking ahead to this and have already streamed Cutler, but I have a feeling that it won’t matter that much. Public perception after the performance vs. the Leagues’ top defense will still have Cutler free to grab up in most seasonal leagues and unless draft kings and Fan Duel try to actually push Jay Cutler, he should still come in fairly cheap in DFS situations allowing you a bit more room to pick up a high-value running back and wide receiver.
If you miss out on Cutler, the same matchup offers value on the other end of the field. Ryan Fitzpatrick will go largely overlooked from a value standpoint. It has been confirmed as of Monday that Winston will be sitting for one more week. The Miami Dolphins defense offers up great opportunity for Fitz, especially with getting Mike Evens back in and running routes. The Fins have been allowing over 100 opposing passer rating. Though I would still rather have Cutler in Week 11, Fitzpatrick isn’t far behind and should come really cheap at Fan Duel and Draft kings and be available on virtually every waiver-wire!
Pick-up Worthy Kickers
Justin Tucker is a great season long kicker to have on your roster. In Week 11 he isn’t rated as high as the likes of Butker, Gostkowski, and Jake Elliot, but I have a feeling this Packers defense is going to step it up a notch and hold the Ravens to some field goals. In addition to DFS, this ties into another method of cashing in on NFL Week 11 play. Keep an eye on top betting sites for ‘Long Field Goal’ prop options.
With all the talk about Harrison Butker of the Kansas City Chiefs being a top option, I believe the Giants have given up are going to go into full tank-for-the-draft mode. Your number one DFS kicker option should be Stephen Gostkowski. The Patriots go into Mexico City against the Raiders as not only the virtual away team at a so-called neutral site, but make no mistake about it, the Raiders really are the home team here. The Mexican Raider Nation support will be in force in el Estadio Azteca. After Brady’s last magnificent performance, it’s no wonder that the Pats are coming is as one-touchdown-favorites. With that said, though Belichick’s men will be marching down the field (a lot) the Raiders will keep New England out of the endzone on various occasions, holding them to field goals. I don’t expect this to be a secret so get in if & while you can. This is another situation where you can simply look to the other end of the field for value. The Raiders’ Giorgio Tavecchio will be an excellent option that should come in at a low price and should be available in many a league.
