We consistently hear from NFL scouts that a prospect is getting overhyped by the media on ESPN and college football broadcasts. Sometimes, it can be frustrating for scouts when they feel other good players are being overlooked and under appreciated, so WalterFootball.com reached out to team sources to see which prospects they feel are being underrated for the 2020 NFL Draft. Here are the players who were submitted:

  • Georgia running back D’Andre Swift
  • Iowa offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs
  • Alabama linebacker Dylan Moses
  • Oklahoma linebacker Kenneth Murray
  • Louisville offensive tackle Mekhi Becton

  • Going back to the preseason, team sources have raved about Swift, but he has not received the acclaim of other recent Georgia running back prospects like Todd Gurley, Nick Chubb and Sony Michel.

Some evaluators really like Wirfs, but others are lukewarm on him.

Moses went out for the season with a torn ACL in the preseason, but team sources say he still could come out and enter the 2020 NFL Draft. They don’t know what his decision will be, but they feel he is a really good linebacker who is going under the radar because of the injury.

A lot of team sources are very high on Murray, but he typically only gets discussed during Oklahoma games as he is a tackling machine who is all over the field.

Sources also were high on Becton and think he could be a first-round pick next April.
