Updated: Thursday, June 20, 2019. Follow me @walterfootball for updates.

  1. Orlando Magic: Romeo Langford, SG, Indiana, 6-5, Fr.
Terrence Ross is entering free agency, while Jonathan Isaac isn’t very good, so the Magic could look for a wing to fill that need. I still can’t believe Orlando was swept by Toronto after winning Game 1. It’s unreal how much money I lost on Orlando in that playoff series. I had to skip dinner for five nights!

  2. New Orleans Pelicans: Nicolas Claxton, C, Georgia, 6-11, Soph.
The Pelicans could add another big man to go along with Zion Williamson. Jahlil Okafor is not the answer.

  3. Indiana Pacers: Nickeil Alexander-Walker, SG, Virginia Tech, 6-5, Soph.
Victor Oladipo is coming off a brutal knee injury – at least I think he is – so maybe the Pacers will try to find some insurance for him. Their offense really went downhill as soon as Oladipo went down last season.

  4. San Antonio Spurs: Goga Bitadze, C, Georgia, 6-11, 1999.
The Spurs don’t have much going for them at center, as they were forced into starting someone named Jakob Poeltl in the playoffs. Poeltl’s last name is pronounced “portal,” which is just nonsense. Perhaps they’ll find an upgrade at center from the SEC.

  5. Boston Celtics (from L.A. Clippers): Ty Jerome, PG, Virginia, 6-5, Jr.
It’s hard to imagine Kyrie Irving being back next year. Irving is reportedly unhappy in Boston, which mirrors his feelings about the Cavaliers, as he was unhappy in Cleveland as well. I get the feeling that Irving is just an unhappy person, but I’m no psychologist.

  6. Oklahoma City Thunder: Brandon Clarke, PF, Gonzaga, 6-8, Jr.
Jerami Grant is not a very good player, so the Thunder will probably try to upgrade him. I imagine this is either shooting guard or power forward; those are the two positions I’d never play on Draft Kings concerning the Thunder.

  7. Boston Celtics: Tyler Herro, SG, Kentucky, 6-5, Fr.
Here’s another guard for the Celtics, who need a Herro rather than a zero after they’ll presumably lose Kyrie Irving.

  8. Memphis Grizzlies: Bol Bol, C, Oregon, 7-2, Fr.
The Grizzlies need to replace both Marc Gasol and Mike Conley. They found a substitute for the latter at No. 2 overall. Perhaps they’ll obtain the rising Bol Bol to replace the former. Bol Bol’s father, Manute, was one of the greatest 7-foot-7 players in NBA history.

  9. Philadelphia 76ers: Eric Paschall, PF, Villanova, 6-7, Sr.
Jimmy Butler and Tobias Harris are entering free agency. If one of them leaves, they’ll need a new forward, so I agree with David’s pick. Losing Butler would be devastating, as he’s the only 76er not to puke out his guts in a horrible effort against the Raptors in Game 5.

  10. Portland Trail Blazers: Bruno Fernando, C, Maryland, 6-10, Soph.
Enes Kanter did a good job in place of the injured Jusuf Nurkic, except when he was bullied around by Nikola Jokic and then beaten on screens by the Warriors. Kanter, however, is a free agent, so the Blazers could replace him. Perhaps they’ll drum up some interest in Bruno Fernando.

  11. Cleveland Cavaliers (from Houston): Kevin Porter Jr., SG, USC, 6-6, Fr.
The Cavaliers have some big men and their point guard of the future (or at least the next two years), so it would make sense for them to keep addressing their wing. They’ll be able to do so with Houston’s pick, which I’m sure the Rockets are depressed about not having at the moment because they’re set to miss out on such great prospects. The Cavaliers will be hoping that Kevin Porter Jr. is a lot better than Kevin Porter Sr.

  12. Brooklyn Nets (from Denver): Darius Bazley, F, USA, 6-9.
There’s word that the Nets like Darius Bazley. They can land a foreign player from the United States, which doesn’t make much sense.

  13. Golden State Warriors: KZ Okpala, F, Stanford, 6-9, Soph.
Kevin Durant may not play next year, so the Warriors will need another big man in the front court to help with their scoring. Trust me, I know this from all of the money I lost betting on the Warriors in the NBA Finals.

  14. San Antonio Spurs (from Toronto Raptors): Grant Williams, PF, Tennessee, 6-7, Jr.
Think the Spurs missed Kawhi Leonard last year? Gregg Popovich must have been losing his mind during the finals, at least more so than usual.

  15. Detroit Pistons: Carsen Edwards, PG, Purdue, 6-0, Jr.
The Pistons have a weak backcourt, which could be even worse next offseason when Reggie Jackson leaves via free agency.

If you’ve made it this far, I don’t know how you did it. But thanks for reading. If you’d like an NBA Mock Draft with better analysis, check out our real 2019 NBA Mock Draft.
