Career Recap:
Lacy was a tough runner for the Rebels in 2025. He showed dangerous quickness and shifty running ability while helping the Rebels make a run in the playoffs. 2026 Season Outlook:
Lacy is going to see some quality opponents in 2026. The best tests could come against LSU (Sep 19.). Texas (Oct. 24), Georgia (Nov. 7), and Oklahoma (Nov. 14).
Prospect Summary:
There is no doubt that Lacy has the talent to be a starting running back in the NFL. He has a good skill set with enough size to go along with excellent quickness, instincts, feel, and vision as a runner. Lacy is a well-rounded back showing the ability to have his way with defenses with speed, power, and athleticism. Early in his pro career, Lacy could be a productive starter in the NFL.
The immediate trait that stands out about Lacy is his speed. Lacy is a fast runner with a second gear in the open field to pull away from defenses, but Lacy is not a build-up speed runner. He has very quick feet and a real burst to hit the hole before it closes. Lacy has easy acceleration to dart through holes and get to the second level. Once he hits the open field, Lacy is tough to catch as he has a surprising second gear to run away from defenders. Lacy uses his quick feet to make some impressive cuts, and he is a shifty runner who can juke and dodge tacklers when he needs to. Lacy is more inclined to be a North-South runner, but when he has to make a man miss, he is fully capable.
While Lacy is not a big back, he has impressive power in his body. Lacy shows excellent contact balance to maintain his feet, bounce off tacklers, and rip off more yardage. Lacy has a strong lower body to push the pile, and he finishes runs well by powering through tacklers. Lacy is tough near the goal line with a nose for the end zone and uses strength to push the ball over the goal line. Lacy will not be an overwhelming power runner in the NFL, but he is not lacking the strength to break tackles and pick up yards after contact as a pro.
In the passing game, Lacy is a good fit. He runs good routes out of the backfield and is a dangerous outlet receiver. Lacy has soft hands and is naturally athletic to function in space. Like all college backs, Lacy could use some development for blitz protection in the NFL.
As long as he stays healthy, Lacy looks like an early-round back and a future NFL starter.
