Solid Starter
Chris McClellan, DT, Missouri – Round 3
The Packers missed Kenny Clark last season, but they had to part with the talented veteran in order to land an elite edge rusher in Micah Parsons. Green Bay added veteran Javon Hargrave in free agency, but they needed more rotational depth to go with Hargrave and Devonte Wyatt. McClellan was a well-rounded and disruptive defender for Missouri last year, and he was a solid value to round out their trio for next season.
In 2025, McClellan had 48 tackles, six sacks, and two passes defended. He played well and was disruptive for the Tigers. He showed speed and athleticism to rush from the interior while also being a solid run defender. McClellan (6-3, 313) has versatile size to play nose tackle or three technique. McClellan showed a big improvement from 2024, and he has the upside to get better with pro coaching.
The Packers have the luxury of developing McClellan behind Hargrave and Wyatt, but I think McClellan has starter upside and could replace one of the veterans after a year of coaching and learning the NFL. During his rookie contract, I think McClellan will emerge as a three-down starter who is a good contributor against the run and helps to rush the passer.

Most Likely To Bust
NONEThe Packers were without a first-round pick from the Micah Parsons trade, and I don’t see a player with real bust potential on day two. The vast majority of day three-picks don’t stick in the NFL, so it is not a true bust when those players don’t work out. I think the Packers will have at least a few solid contributors to show from this draft class.

Potential Boom Pick
Brandon Cisse, CB, South Carolina – Round 2
After Jaire Alexander and Eric Stokes flamed out in Green Bay, the Packers have been in the market for some starting outside cornerback talent. They were very fortunate that Cisse made it to their pick, as he easily could have been drafted at the end of the first round. Cisse (6-0, 189) has a good skill set with quality size, good speed, athleticism, and a feisty style of play.
For the NFL, Cisse is an ascending and improving player. He shows good size, speed, and athleticism to match up against all kinds of receivers. Cisse is big and physical to take on large, wideouts, while being fast to carry verticals downfield with speed receivers. With twitch and agility, Cisse is smooth out of breaks, showing the ability to run the route and prevent separation. When receivers do get a step, Cisse has a burst to close and recoverability to make up ground. With his well-rounded skill set, Cisse is capable of playing press man, off man, and zone coverage.
Cisse is a physical run defender and a willing tackler. He will fire downhill in a blur and cut out the legs of a ball carrier. He is willing to lower his shoulder and shows zero hesitancy to take on big backs.
There are areas of improvement for Cisse as he has some raw elements. He might need some developmental time before becoming a pro starter. Cisse should improve his route recognition, as that will lead to fewer false steps. He has some inconsistency in technique, and that could be ironed out with pro coaching.
The Packers could develop Cisse well, and it would not surprise me if he ends up being a steal in the second round. Cisse was very impressive on his 2025 tape, and I think he has boom pick potential for Green Bay.

Future Depth Player
Dani Dennis-Sutton, DE, Penn State – Round 4
The Packers moved on from Rashan Gary this offseason, and Green Bay was in need of some defensive line depth. Dennis-Sutton looked like an early-round pick entering the 2025 season, as his 2024 tape was impressive to go along with a good skill set of size, strength, speed, and athleticism. He had a disappointing final season, like almost every player at Penn State in 2024, but Dennis-Sutton has played a lot of football and has a skill set with upside to develop. Even if he never becomes a three-down starter, he could easily turn into a solid backup and rotational contributor.
