Kickers:

  1. Matt Gay, K, Rams. Age: 29.
Signed with Colts (4 years, $22.5 million)

Not much went right for the Rams in 2022, but Matt Gay’s kicking was an exception. Gay went 28-of-30, including 7-of-9 from 50-plus.

  2. Robbie Gould, K, 49ers. Age: 40.
Robbie Gould is now 40, yet he’s still one of the top kickers in the NFL. He went 27-of-32 last year, including 2-of-2 from 50-plus.

  3. Eddy Pineiro, K, Panthers. Age: 27.
    Re-signed with Panthers (2 years)

Eddy Pineiro came out of nowhere to go 33-of-35 last year, though he only attempted two kicks from 50-plus.

  4. Greg Zuerlein, K, Jets. Age: 35.
Greg “The Leg” Zuerlein hit 30-of-37 field goals in 2022, including 6-of-11 from 50-plus. He has one of the strongest legs in the NFL.

  5. Mason Crosby, K, Packers. Age: 38.
Mason Crosby had another strong season, going 25-of-29. However, he was just 1-of-4 from 50-plus.

  6. Michael Badgley, K, Lions. Age: 28.
    Signed with Redskins

Michael “Money” Badgley did well last year, hitting 24-of-28, including 2-of-3 from 50-plus.

  7. Chase McLaughlin, K, Colts. Age: 27.
    Signed with Buccaneers

Chase McLaughlin bounced around the NFL prior to 2022. He finally found his way, going 30-of-36. Amazingly, he hit nine field goals from 50-plus.

  8. Brett Maher, K, Cowboys. Age: 33.
Brett Maher was excellent during the regular season, going 29-of-32, including 9-of-11 from 50-plus. However, he seemed to suffer the yips in the playoffs, becoming the first kicker in NFL history to miss four extra points in a single game.

  9. Randy Bullock, K, Titans. Age: 33.
Randy Bullock has hit 83.9 percent of his field goals or better in three of his past four seasons, but he’s just 8-of-15 from 50-plus since 2018.

  10. Ryan Succop, K, Buccaneers. Age: 36.
Bruce Arians was a fan of Ryan Succop because he could hit the “easy ones.” Succop isn’t good from 50-plus, so the new coaching staff is looking for someone with more upside.

  11. Zane Gonzalez, K, Panthers. Age: 28.
Zane Gonzalez missed all of 2022 with a groin injury. He was very accurate the prior year.

Punters:

  1. Riley Dixon, P, Rams. Age: 30.
    Signed with Broncos

Riley Dixon ranked third in punting last year.

  2. Thomas Morstead, P, Dolphins. Age: 37.
    Signed with Jets

Thomas Morstead ranked as a top-10 punter last year, but he turns 37 this offseason.

  3. Andy Lee, P, Cardinals. Age: 41.
Andy Lee was once an excellent punter, but he’s a declining player at 41.

  4. J.K. Scott, P, Chargers. Age: 27.
    Re-signed with Chargers (2 years, $4 million)

J.K. Scott was ranked in the middle of the pack in punting last year.

  5. Jake Bailey, P, Patriots. Age: 26. — Signed with Dolphins
  6. Matt Haack, P, Colts. Age: 29.
  7. Corliss Waitman, P, Broncos. Age: 27. — Signed with Patriots
  8. Michael Palardy, P, Patriots. Age: 31.
