During the 2025 college football season, some cornerback prospects have slid and disappointed, while others are taking advantage of opportunities and rising. One cornerback that is creating a buzz in the scouting community is South Carolina’s Brandon Cisse. In speaking to sources at five different teams, four had him projected to be a late first-round or early second-round pick, and one team had him as a second-rounder.
“He’s interesting,” said a national scout. “He’s got some natural ability in coverage.”
One AFC general manager said he thought Cisse would end up being a first-rounder. He plays a premium position that gets valued early in the draft. In 2025, Cisse has totaled 19 tackles with an interception, three passes batted, and a forced fumble. He had 28 tackles with five breakups the previous season. Listed at 6-foot, 190-pounds, Cisse has quality size for the NFL. With a quality skill set and good tape, I have Cisse going in the back half of the first round of my latest 2026 NFL Mock Draft.
