NFL DraftKings Picks: Week 19

I’ll be posting NFL DraftKings picks here. I cannot post lineups anymore, but I will list some players I like each week.


Week 19: Saturday Slate


I can no longer post any lineups, per DraftKings rules. I will be trying something different this year, which is to rank my order of preferences by position taking price into account.


Top DFS Quarterbacks:

  1. Matthew Stafford, $6,900 (at Panthers)
  2. Jordan Love, $5,300 (at Bears)
  3. Caleb Williams, $5,600 (vs. Packers)
Matthew Stafford is the best option, although he is most expensive. The Bears and Packers don’t have good defenses, so you can play both quarterbacks in that matchup.


Top DFS Running Backs:

  1. Kyren Williams, $6,400 (at Panthers)
  2. Blake Corum, $5,400 (at Panthers)
  3. D’Andre Swift, $5,700 (vs. Packers)
  4. Josh Jacobs, $6,300 (at Bears)
  5. Kyle Monangai, $5,200 (vs. Packers)
Both Rams running backs are in play, and you can use both of them in the same lineup against Carolina’s dreadful run defense. D’Andre Swift also looks good at his price tag.


Top DFS Wide Receivers:

  1. Davante Adams, $6,500 (at Panthers)
  2. Puka Nacua, $8,700 (at Panthers)
  3. Christian Watson, $4,900 (at Bears)
  4. Luther Burden, $4,600 (vs. Packers)
  5. Romeo Doubs, $4,400 (at Bears)
  6. Rome Odunze, $5,800 (vs. Packers)
  7. Tetairoa McMillan, $6,000 (vs. Rams)
  8. Jayden Reed, $4,000 (at Bears)
  9. Jalen Coker, $4,500 (vs. Rams)
I would play Davante Adams over Puka Nacua, given the huge price difference. Of course, you’ll want to try to get both in your lineup, especially if you’re going with Stafford at quarterback.


Top DFS Tight Ends:

  1. Colby Parkinson, $3,700 (at Panthers)
  2. Tyler Higbee, $3,200 (at Panthers)
The Rams are the only team with a good tight end matchup on this slate, so pick one of Colby Parkinson or Tyler Higbee, and hope you land on the right one.


Top DFS Defenses:

  1. Rams, $3,500 (at Panthers)
Only one defensive option on this slate.




Players to Avoid: Panthers Running Backs. This figures to be a blowout, so I don’t see why you would play either Carolina back.


Week 19: Sunday Slate


I can no longer post any lineups, per DraftKings rules. I will be trying something different this year, which is to rank my order of preferences by position taking price into account.


Top DFS Quarterbacks:

  1. Jalen Hurts, $6,300 (vs. 49ers)
  2. Josh Allen, $7,000 (at Jaguars)
  3. Drake Maye, $6,800 (vs. Chargers)
  4. Trevor Lawrence, $6,100 (vs. Bills)
There are four great quarterbacks on this slate, and all of them are playable. However, only one has a great matchup, and that would be Jalen Hurts versus the 49ers.


Top DFS Running Backs:

  1. Travis Etienne, $6,600 (vs. Bills)
  2. Omarion Hampton, $6,200 (at Patriots)
  3. Saquon Barkley, $7,000 (vs. 49ers)
  4. Rhamondre Stevenson, $5,800 (vs. Chargers)
  5. TreVeyon Henderson, $6,000 (vs. Chargers)
The Bills and Patriots have the two worst run defenses of these six teams, so I would prefer the opposing running backs.


Top DFS Wide Receivers:

  1. A.J. Brown, $6,900 (vs. 49ers)
  2. DeVonta Smith, $5,900 (vs. 49ers)
  3. Ladd McConkey, $5,700 (at Patriots)
  4. Quentin Johnston, $5,200 (at Patriots)
  5. Jakobi Meyers, $5,500 (vs. Bills)
  6. Parker Washington, $5,000 (vs. Bills)
  7. Khalil Shakir, $4,800 (at Jaguars)
  8. Brandin Cooks, $3,500 (at Jaguars)
  9. Kayshon Boutte, $4,300 (vs. Chargers)
The two Eagles receivers have dream matchups against San Francisco’s poor pass defense. The Charger receivers are in play as well. And don’t forget about Brandin Cooks, who has emerged as Buffalo’s No. 2 receiver. The Bills like Cooks so much they rested him in Week 18.


Top DFS Tight Ends:

  1. Dallas Goedert, $4,200 (vs. 49ers)
  2. Dalton Kincaid, $3,800 (at Jaguars)
  3. Dawson Knox, $3,300 (at Jaguars)
The Jaguars and 49ers have the weakest defenses against tight ends.


Top DFS Defenses:

  1. Patriots, $3,200 (vs. Chargers)
  2. Eagles, $2,900 (vs. 49ers)
  3. Chargers, $2,200 (at Patriots)
I’m fine playing the Chargers. They have a great defense and will be battling a quarterback making his first playoff start.




Players to Avoid: James Cook (7400), George Kittle (6200). The Jaguars are third against the run. The Eagles, meanwhile, are elite versus tight ends.


Week 19: Texans-Steelers Showdown Slate


Top Captains: Nico Collins (15900), Kenneth Gainwell (13200). Nico Collins is the top play-maker in this game. Kenneth Gainwell is catching a million passes in each contest.

Top Spend-Up FLEX (in addition to Top Captains): C.J. Stroud (10200). If you’re going to use one quarterback, I think it should be C.J. Stroud because he has the easier matchup.

Top Value: Dalton Schultz (6400), Pat Freiermuth (5000). The Steelers have one of the worst tight end defenses in the NFL. The Texans aren’t great versus tight ends either.

Top Punt Play: Christian Kirk (2600). Christian Kirk saw five targets in both Week 16 and Week 17.

Player to Avoid: Woody Marks (8200). It may seem tempting to play Woody Marks, but he has just two double-digit DK weeks, d
