Nnamdi Asomugha, Raiders. Age: 28.
Re-signed with Raiders (3 years, $45 million; $26 million guaranteed)

Nnamdi Asomugha had fantasy owners benching star receivers in their leagues. He’s unquestionably the top corner in the NFL right now.
Kelvin Hayden, Colts. Age: 26.
Re-signed with Colts (5 years, $43 million; $22.5 million guaranteed)

The Colts have a habit of letting players go and cycling through personnel, so it’ll be interesting to see if they make an exception for Kelvin Hayden, their No. 1 corner.
Leigh Bodden, Lions. Age: 27.
Signed with Patriots (1 year, $2.25 million)

One of the top press corners in the NFL, Leigh Bodden struggled last year because Matt Millen foolishly decided that Bodden could play in a zone scheme. Chad Ocho Cinco recently called Bodden the top corner in the NFL, though you shouldn’t read much into that because No. 85 is a renowned psychopath.
Domonique Foxworth, Falcons. Age: 26.
Signed with Ravens (4 years, $28 million)

Acquired from the Broncos, Domonique Foxworth played extremely well for the Falcons. Let’s see if performs just as well when he’s not in his contract year.
Ronald Bartell, Rams. Age: 27.
Re-signed with Rams (4 years, $28 million)

Ronald Bartell has been a pleasant surprise for the Rams and one of the few bright spots on a horrific defense. St. Louis can’t afford to let Bartell get away.
Bryant McFadden, Steelers. Age: 27.
Signed with Cardinals (2 years, $10 million; $5 million guaranteed)

Bryant McFadden broke his arm in the middle of the season, but when he played, he was outstanding in coverage.
Chris Johnson, Raiders. Age: 29.
Re-signed with Raiders (4 years)

Where did this come from? Chris Johnson, nothing more than practice-squad fodder before DeAngelo Hall was cut, emerged as a great corner across from Nnamdi Asomugha.
Dunta Robinson, Texans. Age: 27.
Franchised by Texans

Dunta Robinson is a talented corner who played relatively well coming off a torn ACL. However, the question is whether or not he can stay healthy.
Tramon Williams (ERFA), Packers. Age: 26.
Re-signed with Packers (1 year)

Tramon Williams played really well this season and showed tons of promise as a young corner. The Packers needed someone to step up because Charles Woodson and Al Harris are getting, as Emmitt would say, “long in the mouth.”
Phillip Buchanon, Buccaneers. Age: 28.
Signed with Lions (2 years)

Phillip Buchanon turned his career around in Tampa. He’s become a solid starting corner after looking like a bust early on.
DeAngelo Hall, Redskins. Age: 25.
Re-signed with Redskins (6 years, $54 million; $22.5 million guaranteed)

There’s no questioning DeAngelo Hall’s talent level. It’s more his attitude and work ethic that the Redskins should be concerned about. Something tells me Hall will steal money from Daniel Snyder, just as he did from Undead Al.
Andre’ Goodman, Dolphins. Age: 31.
Signed with Broncos (5 years, $25 million; $10 million guaranteed)

After a slow start, Andre’ Goodman actually played really well down the stretch. Unfortunately, his age is starting to become an issue.
Justin Miller, Jets. Age: 25.
Not much of a cornerback, but Justin Miller had two kickoff returns for touchdowns in seven games with Oakland this year.
Joselio Hanson, Eagles. Age: 27.
Re-signed with Eagles: 5 years, $21 million; $6.4 million guaranteed

One of the top nickel corners in the league, Joselio Hanson played in front of Lito Sheppard toward the end of the season.
Jabari Greer, Bills. Age: 27.
Signed with Saints (4 years)

Kareem Abdul Jabari Greer is a decent corner who could compete for starting time elsewhere – but not in Buffalo. Leodis McKelvin will take over full time across from Terrence McGee.
Shawn Springs, Redskins. Age: 34.
Signed with Patriots

Shawn Springs is a talented corner who played very well in 2008 – when he was in the lineup. Springs has missed 14 games in the past three years. Age is also a huge issue.
Brian Williams, Jaguars. Age: 30.
Signed with Falcons

Brian Williams was overpaid in Jacksonville, but he can still play. He’d be a nice veteran addition as a potential safety.
Chris Carr, Titans. Age: 26.
Signed with Ravens (2 years, $5 million)

A solid return specialist and a decent option for cornerbacking depth.
Jason David, Lions. Age: 27.
Don’t laugh at Jason David being this high; he’s still an effective corner in a cover-2 system. He was just a poor fit for New Orleans’ scheme.
Rod Hood, Bears. Age: 27.
Signed with Titans

Rod Hood’s production has fallen off a bit recently, but he’s still a decent nickel option.
Chris McAlister, Saints. Age: 32.
Chris McAlister is a risky signing because he has terrible knees. If he can stay healthy, he can be an upgrade. That’s a huge “if,” however.
Pacman Jones, Cowboys. Age: 25.
Everyone knows the Pacman’s story. GMs, be warned. In five years, Pacman will ruin Eric Mangini’s birthday party by throwing arcade tokens in the air, causing one to hit Mangini in the eye.
Ken Lucas, Panthers. Age: 30.
Signed with Seahawks

Ken Lucas struggled last year. He definitely shouldn’t be a starter, but he’d make for a very solid nickel.
Charles Gordon, Vikings. Age: 25.
Re-signed with Vikings (1 year)

Like Joselio Hanson, Charles Gordon is a very good nickel corner. He fractured his left fibula in November and was lost for the year.
Eric King, Titans. Age: 27.
Signed with Lions

A very good depth corner who broke his forearm in November.
Mike McKenzie, Saints. Age: 33.
Re-signed with Saints

Mike McKenzie, 33 in April, missed nine games in 2008. He has a history of knee injuries.
Ralph Brown, Cardinals. Age: 30.
Re-signed with Cardinals (1 year)

A depth guy who has come up big in December and January. Ralph Brown has three picks in the four games leading up to the Super Bowl.
Keith Smith, 49ers. Age: 29.
Could be a solid nickel corner in a cover-2 defense.
Daven Holly, Browns. Age: 27.
Daven Holly was slated to start at corner this season. However, he tore his ACL and MCL, and missed the entire year. Who knows if he’ll be able to bounce back?
Reynaldo Hill, Titans. Age: 27.
Reynaldo Hill is an effective corner when he’s not hurt. Unfortunately, he’s not healthy very often.
Allen Rossum, Cowboys. Age: 33.
Allen Rossum still did a good job on returns last season, but now that he’s 33, can he still get it done?
Samari Rolle, Ravens. Age: 33.
Re-signed with Ravens (4 years)

Samari Rolle, 33 in August, has missed 16 games in the past two years. He’s a solid, experienced nickel at the very best.
