2009-10 Fantasy Basketball Rankings: Centers 1-15 | Cs 16-30
-
Spencer Hawes, Kings
Hawes made major improvements in his second season after being inserted into the starting line-up, but falls in that finesse center category in that he hits a lot of three-pointers but doesn’t get a ton of boards. His field goal percentage is also an issue but he should continue to improve and see more playing time.
Projected 2009-10 NBA Fantasy Stats: 13.0 ppg, 8.0 rpg, 2.0 apg, 1.40 bpg, 60 3PTM
-
Greg Oden, Blazers
Can he stay healthy? That is the biggest concern. If so, he should see more minutes this season resulting in better production.
Projected 2009-10 NBA Fantasy Stats: 11.5 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 1.0 apg, 1.30 bpg, 58% FG
-
Tyson Chandler, Bobcats
Has never been known for his scoring, but rebounds, blocks shots, and usually has a high field goal percentage. Injuries are a concern.
Projected 2009-10 NBA Fantasy Stats: 9.0 ppg, 10.0 rpg, 0.5 apg, 1.30 bpg, 57% FG
-
Jermaine O’Neal, Heat
Health is always a concern, but should be motivated since he is in a contract year.
Projected 2009-10 NBA Fantasy Stats: 14.0 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 2.0 apg, 1.80 bpg, 46% FG
-
Joakim Noah, Bulls
A high energy player who will get rebounds and blocks, but struggles from the free throw line.
Projected 2009-10 NBA Fantasy Stats: 7.5 ppg, 8.0 rpg, 1.5 apg, 1.50 bpg, 53% FG
-
Brad Miller, Bulls
A better offensive option than Noah who gets a decent amount of assits for a center, but doesn’t rebound, block shots, or shoot as high a percentage from the floor.
Projected 2009-10 NBA Fantasy Stats: 11.0 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 3.0 apg, 0.70 bpg, 47% FG
-
Kendrick Perkins, Celtics
The addition of Rasheed Wallace, a healthy Kevin Garnett, and improved Glen Davis will stunt Perkins’ fantasy productivity.
Projected 2009-10 NBA Fantasy Stats: 8.0 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 1.0 apg, 1.70 bpg, 59% FG
-
Samuel Dalembert, 76ers
Took a major step back last season and will probably see less minutes with a healthy Elton Brand and Jason Smith back on the 76ers roster.
Projected 2009-10 NBA Fantasy Stats: 8.0 ppg, 8.0 rpg, 0.5 apg, 1.70 bpg, 51% FG
-
Marc Gasol, Grizzlies
Drafting Hasheem Thabeet and trading for Zach Randolph will limit Gasol’s growth, but he could still be a valuable bench big man.
Projected 2009-10 NBA Fantasy Stats: 11.0 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 1.5 apg, 1.20 bpg, 54% FG
-
Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Cavaliers
Big Z should experience career lows in most categories since Shaq is on the roster, but if the Diesel is banged up, could be a nice bench player.
Projected 2009-10 NBA Fantasy Stats: 10.5 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 1.0 apg, 1.00 bpg, 10 3PTM
-
Chris Andersen, Nuggets
His ability to block shots is the only thing making him worthy of a spot on your roster unless you have a special place in your heart for sweet haircuts and tattoo sleeves.
Projected 2009-10 NBA Fantasy Stats: 7.0 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 0.5 apg, 2.30 bpg, 52% FG
-
Ronny Turiaf, Warriors
A good source for blocked shots, but not much else.
Projected 2009-10 NBA Fantasy Stats: 6.5 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 2.0 apg, 2.00 bpg, 48% FG
-
Roy Hibbert, Pacers
Showed steady progress during his rookie season and that could continue this year.
Projected 2009-10 NBA Fantasy Stats: 10.5 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 1.5 apg, 1.40 bpg, 49% FG
-
Antonio McDyess, Spurs
Still scores and rebounds well, but may not see major minutes in San Antonio.
Projected 2009-10 NBA Fantasy Stats: 8.5 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 1.0 apg, 0.70 bpg, 52% FG
-
JaVale McGee, Wizards
Could be poised for a very nice second year and will likely steal playing time from Brendan Haywood.
Projected 2009-10 NBA Fantasy Stats: 7.5 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 1.0 apg, 1.30 bpg, 53% FG
-
David Andersen, Rockets
Will be part of the rotation to help fill in for the injured Yao Ming.
Projected 2009-10 NBA Fantasy Stats: 8.0 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 1.0 apg, 0.80 bpg, 48% FG
