2010 NBA Draft Scouting Report: Dominique Jones
Position: Shooting Guard
Size: 6-4, 205
School: South Florida, Junior
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Summary: Jones has developed into a great scorer in carrying the load for South Florida this season and gained attention as a possible first-round pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. But because he is considered a combo guard and lacks a true NBA position, he will remain on that first-round bubble. He will test the waters this summer but leave the option open to return for his senior season if he does not feel he will be one of the first 30 players picked.
Player Comparison: Shannon Brown. Like Jones, Brown was considered undersized for the ideal two-guard in the NBA, but has shown the ability to play some point in the NBA which is something Jones will have to do as well. Neither player is a real threat from downtown and are most dangerous when attacking the basket.
