2010 NBA Draft Scouting Report: James Anderson
Position: Shooting Guard
Size: 6-6, 210
School: Oklahoma State, Junior
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Summary: In a lot of ways, Anderson has the prototypical game for the next level. He has good size, strength and ability to score in a variety of ways. I think he can fit in right away and be a valuable scoring option off the bench for whichever team drafts him. He will likely be a top-20 pick and could work his way into the lottery depending on which shooting guards declare for the draft.
Player Comparison: Brandon Rush. Rush was a great scorer in college but relies too much on his perimeter game. Anderson is in a similar mode. The Cowboy junior might be a little more dangerous off the bounce, but like Rush, can stroke it from deep. I see Anderson being a borderline starter like Rush has been early in his career with the Pacers.
