A year ago, Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss sued to get another year of eligibility. After the 2025 season, it appeared that Chambliss could be forced into the 2026 NFL Draft. I surveyed team sources for their grades on Chambliss, and he was projected as high as the second round and as low as the fourth round. With Chambliss back at Ole Miss and having another good season for the Rebels, I surveyed team sources on whether Chambliss was a first-round pick for the 2027 NFL Draft. It turned out to be an even split with three votes for a first-rounder, three votes for not a first-rounder, and a maybe vote.
“I’m not a Trinidad guy,” said an AFC director of college scouting. “Single read, run around, short quarterback, more mid-rounds for me.”
