Teams see Max Iheanachor as a High 2

On Tuesday at the NFL Scouting Combine, I discussed how multiple team sources do not believe any of the offensive tackles in the 2026 NFL Draft are true top-10 picks. However, they do think that a few tackles could go in the top 10 with the top candidates being Utah’s Spencer Fano, Miami’s Francis Mauigoa, and Alabama’s Kayden Proctor. One prospect who has been rising is Arizona State’s Max Iheanachor. He had a strong performance at the Senior Bowl, causing some in the media to project him to the first round. In following up with multiple team sources, they all felt that he was a high second-round pick.

“He’s talented, and he’s improving,” said an AFC national scout. “He’s still raw. Two years ago, he was winning maybe 50 percent of his snaps. This past year, he was up to about 80 percent. If he lands with good coaching that could develop him, he could be at 95 percent where you want him to be in a couple of years.”

Inmy latest 2026 NFL Mock Draft, I have a team picking in the top 10 addressing another position and landing Iheanachor early in the second round. Team sources feel that is at the right spot for drafting Iheanachor.
