Change Team:
This page lists all the 2023 Trades for the Denver Broncos. I’ve listed all of the NFL Free Agent Signing Grades here, which included the trades. Because I’ve begun posting polls for the trades, I thought it would make sense to list just the NFL trades here, so archiving the voting would be easier.

October 2023 – Trades and Signings

49ers acquire DE Randy Gregory from Broncos for swap of 2024 sixth- and seventh-round draft picks
Teams certainly love swapping sixth- and seventh-round picks. We saw it with the J.C. Jackson and Chase Claypool deals, and now the Broncos and 49ers have engaged in a deal with the same compensation.
Randy Gregory had a few bright moments for the Broncos last year amid an injury-plagued season. There were no bright moments this season, as Gregory played extremely poorly. The Broncos considered cutting him, but the 49ers called them and took Gregory off their hands. I considered if the 49ers would be paying Gregory’s egregious salary, but that will not be the case. Denver will foot the bill for the $10 million remaining this season.
With that in mind, this is a small price to pay for the 49ers, who lost defensive line depth this offseason. Gregory will help in that regard, making San Francisco the winner of this trade.
Grade for 49ers – B+
Grade for Broncos – C-

August 2023 – Trades and Signings

Eagles acquire TE Albert Okwuegbunam from Broncos for swap of 2025 third-day picks
Dallas Goedert is one of the better tight ends in the NFL, but the Eagles didn’t have much behind him. It wasn’t too long ago that Philadelphia had a terrific one-two punch at the position with Zach Ertz joining Goedert. This trade ensures that the Eagles will have great tight end depth once again.
Okwuegbunam is an athletic tight end with upside. He’s only 25, so he can still be developed to be a consistent player. Obtaining him for just a swap of sixth- and seventh-round picks in the 2025 NFL Draft is a steal. As for the Broncos, they were very deep at tight end and were going to waive Okwuebgunam, so it’s at least nice that they got something for him.
Grade for Eagles – A
Grade for Broncos – B
