Update (Wednesday, 1:49 PM ET): Franklin's agents, Harold C. Lewis and Christian Addison, said in a statement: “We adamantly deny Sam spit at anyone. We look forward to the process fully exonerating him tomorrow.” (Tom Pelissero)
Bills DB Sam Franklin Jr. has been suspended without pay for one game for spitting at an opponent during Sunday's game against the Raiders. Per sources, Franklin denies the allegation and will appeal. (Tom Pelissero, Adam Schefter)
Our Take: This doesn't help a Bills defense that already needs to improve. Buffalo is still the best team in the conference, but that side of the ball is what could hold it back.
