Team Profile:

Pat Riley simply would not budge in his Damian Lillard trade demands, and so not only will Miami lack Lillard, a legit first option, but the team is a lesser one talent-wise than last season. The Heat lost so much talent and their depth is a real issue, but they’re not really a winning team based on talent. They have elite coaching from Eric Spoelstra and they consistently play harder than their opponents. Miami needs to make some moves, but the organization is fine.

Player Profile:

The Heat will need Tyler Herro to have a huge season. They need him to basically give them what Max Strus and Gabe Vincent gave them. Butler and Adebayo can only help so much, and they need a third guy in a big way, and that’s Herro. Yes, he will give them his normal 20-plus points, but the Heat need assists and at the very, very least, him trying on defense.

Biggest Strength: Toughness

Biggest Weakness: Guards

Record: 50-32, Fourth in Eastern Conference
