2015 NBA Draft Scouting Report: Frank Kaminsky
Position: Center
Size: 7-0, 235
School: Wisconsin, Senior
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Summary: Kaminsky emerged as a legitimate first-round prospect during the Badgers’ Final Four run last season. His offensive versatility makes him a unique big man prospect though he lacks the true physicality and toughness of a typical NBA center. Still, Kaminsky should be a first-round pick due to his scoring touch and could end up being selected in the teens.
Player Comparison: Kelly Olynyk.
Though he lacks the sweet ’70s hair, Kaminsky is similar to Olynyk in that both guys can score in numerous ways on the offensive end, including being able to stretch defenses with their perimeter shooting. Olynyk made huge strides during his college career just like Kaminsky, however neither brings much physicality to the paint.
