Philadelphia 76ers- Grade: B
Additions:
- Terquavion Smith
- Patrick Beverley
Losses:
- Georges Niang
James Harden wants a trade, but he only wants a move to the Clippers, and they have little interest, so I assume he will play the rest of his Philadelphia contract and then sign with a different team. Regardless, that’s 20-10 staying on the roster. There really isn’t a team that made fewer moves than the 76ers, but I loved the signing of Patrick Beverly, who provides Harden insurance and is an excellent reserve guard. Keeping Paul Reed was big as well, and Terquavion Smith was an excellent pick because he was a lottery talent. The 76ers had a really nice offseason, and I love that they won’t let Harden ruin them.

76ers’ 2023 NBA Draft – Grade: A
- No. 49: Terquavion Smith, G, N.C. State
Although the 76ers had just a second-round choice, they received a lottery talent in Smith. He started his sophomore season as a first-round guarantee, and although he was one of the draft’s premier scorers, his efficiency was poor, hence ending up as the 49th pick. Smith was an elite value pick, but the 76ers are stacked at guard, and he will have a lot of problems finding minutes next season.
