2024 NFL Draft Stock – Week 17

2024 NFL Draft Stock Up

Theo Johnson, TE, Penn State

While Johnson did not see a ton of targets in 2023, he impressed in his opportunities, recording 325 yards and six touchdowns on 32 catches. Johnson played well enough to earn an invitation to the Senior Bowl in late January. The 6-foot-6, 264-pounder could rise in Mobile if can generate separation and does well in blocking drills.

Jared Wiley, TE, TCU

Wiley is another Mobile-bound tight end and had after a quality senior year for the Horned Frogs. He totaled 47 receptions in 2023 for 520 yards and eight touchdowns. The 6-foot-7, 260-pound Wiley is a big player who could fit as a Y tight end at the pro level.

Brenden Rice, WR, USC

With Jordan Addison in the NFL, Rice helped pick up the slack for USC and turned in a strong senior year for the Trojans. He totaled 45 receptions for 791 yards with 12 touchdowns. Rice was a reliable receiver for Caleb Williams, using his size and polished route-running to make catches for his quarterback. At 6-foot-3, 210-pounds, Rice has good size. If he runs well during the leadup to the 2024 NFL Draft, he could help him to rise.

Malachi Corley, WR, Western Kentucky

Corley is not the biggest of receivers, but he is shifty route-runner with quickness who knows how to get open. In 2023, Corley totaled 78 receptions for 984 yards and 11 touchdowns. His solid play earned him an invitation to the Senior Bowl, and Corley could rise if he shows he can consistently generate separation from the All-Star cornerbacks in Mobile.

Jamari Thrash, WR, Louisville

Thrash was a solid receiver over the past two seasons. In 2023, he totaled 63 receptions for 858 yards and six touchdowns. In 2022, he produced some big plays, catching 61 passes for 1,122 yards and seven touchdowns. The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder has the size to line up on the outside, but he also could play some snaps in the slot.

Jha’Quan Jackson, WR, Tulane

Jackson has not had a big year statistically in 2023, but he still played well enough to earn an invitation to the Senior Bowl. On the season, he caught 26 passes for 439 yards and four touchdowns. In 2022, he had 33 catches for 554 yards and three scores. The 5-foot-11, 185-pounder could fit in the NFL as a slot receiver competitor.

2024 NFL Draft Stock Down

Bralen Trice, DE, Washington

Some NFL team sources told WalterFootball.com that they were down on Trice’s play from 2023 and did not have him with an early-round grade for the 2024 NFL Draft. They were instead seeing him as a backup at the next level, and that results in a mid-round projection. Trice needs to have a huge game against Texas to help his draft stock, but some teams feel Trice has limitations that make him a backup for the pros.
