College Football Game Previews: Week 13

Oregon State vs. Oregon; Friday, Nov. 24, 8:30 PM ET FOX

The Prospects:

Oregon State

  • QB D.J. Uiagalelei, No. 5
  • RT Taliese Fuaga, No. 75

Oregon

  • QB Bo Nix, No. 10
  • WR Troy Franklin, No. 11
  • WR Tez Johnson, No. 15
  • DT Jordan Burch, No. 1
  • DT Brandon Dorlus, No. 3

The Matchups: There is a good draft matchup in this game, where Fuaga will face some future NFL defensive linemen in Dorlus and Burch. Dorlus is a dangerous interior rusher. Burch has ability, but he needs to show a better motor and effort. Fuaga could be a second-day pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, and playing well versus Oregon could help him with evaluators. Nix could also be selected on Day 2 of the 2024 NFL Draft. Uiagalelei is a possible NFL backup as well.

Ohio State vs. Michigan; Saturday, Nov. 25, 12:00 PM ET FOX

The Prospects:

Ohio State

  • WR Marvin Harrison Jr., No. 18
  • WR Emeka Egbuka, No. 2
  • RB TreVeyon Henderson, No. 32
  • RB Miyan Williams, No. 3
  • DE J.T. Tuimoloau, No. 44
  • DE Jack Sawyer, No. 33
  • DT Michael Hall Jr., No. 51
  • LB Tommy Eichenberg, No. 35
  • CB Denzel Burke, No. 10
  • CB Jordan Hancock, No. 7
  • CB Cameron Martinez, No. 3
  • S Lathan Ransom, No. 8
  • S Josh Proctor, No. 41

Michigan

  • QB J.J. McCarthy, No. 9
  • RB Blake Corum, No. 2
  • DT Kris Jenkins, No. 94
  • DE Jaylen Harrell, No. 32
  • DE Josaiah Stewart, No. 32
  • WR Roman Wilson, No. 14
  • WR Cornelius Johnson, No. 6

The Matchups: There is a lot of future NFL talent in this epic rivalry game. Harrison is in the running to the first non-quarterback selected in the 2024 NFL Draft, and he will be a tough defense that has some young talent in the secondary. How this contest goes will be a very important tape for McCarthy’s hopes of ending up as a first-round pick next April in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Florida State vs. Florida; Saturday, Nov. 25, 7:00 PM ET ESPN

The Prospects:

Florida State

  • DE Jared Verse, No. 5
  • QB Jordan Travis, No. 13
  • WR Johnny Wilson, No. 14
  • WR Keon Coleman, No. 4
  • S Akeem Dent, No. 1
  • DT Fabian Lovett, No. 00
  • RB Trey Benson, No. 3

Florida

  • CB Jason Marshall, No. 3
  • WR Ricky Pearsall, No. 1
  • RB Montrell Johnson Jr., No. 2
  • RT Damieon George, No. 76
  • DT Cam Jackson, No. 99
  • CB Jaydon Hill, No. 23

The Matchups: There is a good draft matchup in this game with Marshall taking on Coleman and Wilson. Both Marshall and Wilson have hurt themselves this year with some ugly tape. Coleman, however, has been very good and has helped his draft stock. Marshall badly needs a good tape versus future pro wide receivers, but he should really go back to school regardless because he has generated a lot of bad tape from this season.
