With the 2019 NFL Draft in the books, it is only fair to dish out some awards for a job well done by a number of teams across the NFL. It also doesn’t hurt to look at which teams may have made regrettable picks.

Pass along your thoughts on these awards and the 2019 NFL Draft. I may put together a mail bag that answers questions/comments sent via email [email protected] or on Twitter @draftcampbell.

Best Undrafted Free Agent Signing: Carolina Panthers: Elijah Holyfield, RB, Georgia
After going undrafted, Holyfield signed with the Carolina Panthers, which is a great landing spot for him. Immediately, Holyfield can compete to be the primary backup running back to Christian McCaffrey. Carolina does not have a veteran who is established as the primary backup and did not sign one in free agency. Right away, Holyfield is a prime competitor with Jordan Scarlett and Cameron Artis-Payne as the No. 2 backup. Holyfield also is bigger than those two backs and offers more of a power change of pace than they do when being combined with McCaffrey. Holyfield’s size also makes him a strong candidate to take on some short-yardage and goal-line duties. While Holyfield is probably disappointed about going undrafted, he signed in a perfect situation to break into the NFL and establish himself in an important role for the Panthers.

Honorable Mentions: Detroit Lions linebacker Tre Lamar, Raiders linebacker Te’Von Coney, Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Bruce Anderson, Buffalo Bills wide receiver David Sills and New Orleans Saints wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey.

2018 Winner: J.C. Jackson, Patriots
2017 Winner: Fish Smithson, Redskins
2016 Winner: Geronimo Allison, Packers
2015 Winner: Akeem Hunt, Giants
2014 Winner: Antonio Richardson, Vikings
