With the 2019 NFL Draft in the books, it is only fair to dish out some awards for a job well done by a number of teams across the NFL. It also doesn’t hurt to look at which teams may have made regrettable picks.

Best Trade: Washington Redskins: Montez Sweat, DE, Mississippi State
This was a tough decision between the Eagles jumping the Texans to get the draft’s best pass-blocking left tackle, Andre Dillard, or the Redskins landing Sweat. I chose Sweat because he was a legit top-10 pick while Dillard was not held in as high of regard. Sweat was one of the top edge rushers in the SEC over the past two years, displaying a dynamite skill set of speed, length, and some natural strength. Sweat could form a lethal defensive line with Jonathan Allen, Da’Ron Payne and Ryan Kerrigan. Landing Sweat with the 26th-overall pick was a great value for the Redskins, as he could be their feature edge rusher for a decade with double-digit sack production on an annual basis.

Honorable Mentions: Philadelphia Eagles trade-up for Andre Dillard, Baltimore Ravens trade-down for Marquise Brown and Green Bay Packers trade-up for Darnell Savage.

2017 Winner: Tre’Davious White, Bills
2016 Winner: Myles Jack, Jaguars
2015 Winner: Maxx Williams, Ravens
2014 Winner: Louis Nix, Texans
2013 Winner: Alec Ogletree, Rams
2012 Winner: Justin Blackmon, Jaguars
