Jahri Evans (RFA), G, Saints. Age: 27.
Re-signed with Saints (7 years, $56.7 million)

The best guard in the NFL as far as I’m concerned.
Logan Mankins (RFA), G, Patriots. Age: 28.
Tendered by Patriots (1st, 3rd round)

An outstanding run-blocker and one of the better guards in the NFL. Mankins has allowed 1.5 or less sacks in three of his five NFL seasons.
Bobbie Williams, G, Bengals. Age: 33.
Re-signed with Bengals

At 345 pounds, Bobbie Williams is a dominant mauler. He’s also a great guy in the locker room. The only concern is age (34 on Sept. 25).
Marshal Yanda (RFA), G, Ravens. Age: 25.
Re-signed with Ravens (1 year, $1.6 million)

A physical run-blocker, Marshal Yanda got over his horrific knee injury and took Chris Chester’s spot in the lineup in November.
Rob Sims (RFA), G, Seahawks. Age: 26.
Re-signed with Seahawks (1 year, $1.1 million)

One of the few bright spots on Seattle’s offensive line.
Eugene Amano, G, Titans. Age: 28.
Re-signed with Titans (5 years)

Started 15 games for the Titans in 2009 and allowed only half a sack. Eugene Amano, who can play center as well, is best at run blocking.
Evan Mathis (RFA), G, Bengals. Age: 28.
Re-signed with Bengals (1 year, $1.2 million)

A big reason why Cedric Benson was so successful this year. Evan Mathis didn’t allow a sack all season.
Stephen Neal, G, Patriots. Age: 33.
Re-signed with Patriots (2 years)

Stephen Neal can still get it done – when he’s actually in the lineup. Neal has missed 17 games the last three years and has hinted toward retirement.
Rex Hadnot, G, Browns. Age: 28.
Signed with Cardinals (3 years, $9 million)

A sound run-blocker, Rex Hadnot helped Jerome Harrison finish the year on a strong note.
Harvey Dahl (RFA), G, Falcons. Age: 29.
Re-signed with Falcons (1 year, $2.5 million)

What I wrote last year: “A monstrous run-blocker. Michael Turner should buy Harvey Dahl and Tyson Clabo new homes for the lanes they opened up this season.” Unfortunately, Dahl suffered an Achilles injury in the middle of the season.
Chester Pitts, G, Seahawks. Age: 31.
Re-signed with Seahawks

Chester Pitts is a quality guard, but he’s coming off a very nasty knee injury. He may not be 100 percent in 2010.
Chris Kuper (RFA), G, Broncos. Age: 27.
Re-signed with Broncos (1 year, $2.5 million)

A down year for Chris Kuper, who struggled in Josh McDaniels’ new system. Kuper allowed five sacks in 2009.
Russ Hochstein, Broncos. Age: 32.
Re-signed with Broncos (2 years, $3.5 million)

A solid backup, Russ Hochstein was forced into the lineup for 10 starts and played relatively well.
Wade Smith, G/C, Chiefs. Age: 29.
Signed with Texans (4 years, $12 million; $6.25 million guaranteed)

Wade Smith played well down the stretch. He can fill in at both guard and center.
Deuce Lutui, G, Cardinals. Age: 27.
Re-signed with Cardinals (1 year, $1.7 million)

Pretty mediocre in pass protection, but a solid run-blocker.
Randy Thomas, G, Dolphins. Age: 34.
Randy Thomas is a very good run-blocker, but he’s 34 and missed all of 2009 with torn triceps.
Richie Incognito (RFA), G, Bills. Age: 27.
Signed with Dolphins (1 year)

Featured in a story that sounds like it came right out of the Emmitt on the Brink, Richie Incognito was criticized for sitting out a 2008 game for a fake illness. Jim Haslett was so frustrated that he actually slapped a candy bar out of Incognito’s hands on the sideline. If Incognito can’t find a job, perhaps he and JaMarcus Russell can start the Eating on the Sidelines Appreciation Society.
Alan Faneca, G, Jets. Age: 33.
Signed with Cardinals (1 year, $2.5 million)

It’s not often you see a Pro Bowler cut a couple of months later. Alan Faneca can still run block somewhat well, but he’s completely lost in pass protection.
Daryn Colledge (RFA), G, Packers. Age: 28.
Re-signed with Packers (1 year, $1.7 million)

Daryn Colledge surrendered nine sacks in 2009. He’s better off as a reserve in a non-zone-blocking scheme.
Chris White (RFA), G, Texans. Age: 27.
Chris White is a versatile interior lineman with starting experience. He’s a solid backup.
Keydrick Vincent, G, Panthers. Age: 32.
Signed with 49ers (2 years)

Keydrick Vincent has plenty of starting experience, so he would be a solid backup guard going forward.
David Baas, G, 49ers. Age: 28.
Re-signed with 49ers (1 year)

David Baas started all 16 games in 2009, but he really needs to be upgraded.
