2010 NBA Draft Scouting Report: Manny Harris
Position: Shooting Guard
Size: 6-5, 185
School: Michigan, Junior
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Summary: Harris’ great freshman season in Ann Arbor really caught a lot of people’s attention about his potential as a pro. However, “Manny Fresh” seems to be almost the same player he is as a junior that he was as a freshman. He is terrific off the bounce but really struggles with his outside shot. That lack of development in his game is discouraging but he has still declared for the 2010 NBA Mock Draft and will most likely be an early second-rounder.
Player Comparison: Roger Mason. Mason is a combo guard who has struggled to find his groove in the NBA due to a lack of a true position. Harris figures to be a two guard at the next level but may end up playing some point due to his slashing abilities and sturggles as an outside shooter, which are both similar to Mason’s game.
