2010 NBA Draft Scouting Report: Jerome Dyson
Position: Guard
Size: 6-3, 180
School: UConn, Senior
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Summary: Dyson is a dynamic all-around player whose numbers hover around 20 points, five boards and five assists per game. He is undersized to be a true two in the NBA, but I think he has the ability to play some point at the next level. Dyson will be a second-round pick, but could be a steal especially if he learns to play point guard.
Player Comparison: Willie Green. Green has survived for almost a decade in the NBA despite being an undersized two guard which is the biggest knock on Dyson. Both players can fill it up off the bounce and play the point if needed. Dyson likely will never be a starter in the league, but could develop into a valuable bench player like Green has become.
